One of my school friends had a GB version of Super Mario Land that had pikachu instead of Mario, dittos instead of goombas, pidgeys instead of those flying things that drop arrows, and scythers instead of the hopping things. There were still coins and fowers, but pikachu actually mae bouncing lightening balls instead of the gravity-defying fire balls that Mario had, wich is a good bit of hacking!

Man, for a pirate game, this is ..somewhat cool looking. Obviously not great at all or anything, but the graphics appear decently attempted, and the music, while most likely lifted from another game (if anyone can name this, that'd be awesome) is pretty sweet. Not nearly as bad as they usually seem to be.

Actually this does look like one of the more well put-together rom hacks I've seen, especially with the original Pocket Monsters theme music. Why does Pikachu menstruate whenever it lands? With that said, this seems like one of the more well put-together GAMES for the Genesis, which is even rarer than the decent rom hack thing.

At least they put some effort in with the other pokemon like Weedle and Pidgeoto, and if you dont know the music, it's the original japanese opening to pokemon anime (probs the best music for the anime and mostr catchy to me :)) and i think the music is quite well made :)
