We might look at the scrip, indeed. This version has its merits as well as Kenneth Branagh 2006 version. What worries me most is that I deeply disaprove changes on the plot, I think there is no need for it. All the allegories and symbolism, all the structure of Schinkaneder libretto are lost. Sarastro is Pamina's *father* here! And I am not saying I don't like it! It resembles Die Zauberflöte but is a different opera: Trollflöjten.
@hillevifan If you buy the Swedish Radio "Ingmar Bergman Trollflöjten" LP-records you will get a thick booklet with all the arias and recitatives with it. If you live in sweden just look at your lokal second-hand bookshop/ record store for a big LP box. Cost maybe 20 SEK
he said: "sorry nishmat, it's Papageno. That's his name, not Pappa Geno. I have the song as homework for my singing lesson and the sheet music right beside me ^^"
so I replied: "I also have this song as homework for my singing lesson! :D haha"
if you devide the word into parts it's easier to understand.
"sång" is "song" and "läxa" means "homework". In English, I added the "singing lesson" part, cause it would be very bad English to write "songhomework" or just "homework" 'cause the context shows it's for a singing lesson the homework is for. especially when he said "sångläxa" ;)
it's a little weird to listed this aria in swedish but anyway it's very original; I love the scordeteyla comet that saids: "swedish films tend to be in swedish" XD
well, yes it's swedish. i speak german, so i would know. apart from this: i said it's a swedish film in the description. swedish films tend to be in swedish ;)

I love this Papageno! He's so natural, and sweet. One wants to bring him home to meet one's mother. He deserves oatmeal cookies.
It's funny how Tamino never knows what's going on.
And is that Papagena who keeps turning up in dark corners?

Haha, he's wonderful <3
Ohyes, that's Papagena (:
I've watched this movie about...300 times (a)

Correction to the last two lines:
"En sötnos vill jag fånga in
som helt och hållet vill bli min."
(I noticed that you have already found the "pappa Geno" error :-) )

oh, thank you, but i had already corrected it yesterday. just forgot to approve your comment :)

Beautiful. I don't really love this actor, but it's a beautiful song; Mozart & Bergman are just amazing.
