Problems/Fixes for iTouch Jailbreak 3.1.2 Cydia (BlackRa1n source fix)

Ok so im running 4.2.1 firmware and my phone was jailbroken through green poison. My cydia wont let me add anymore sources. Is there a way to uninstall cydia then re-install it again. Without a computer though.

is it true that if u use black rain when u turn ur ipod off u have to plug it into the computer to turn back on

Every time I go to open cydia it stays black for a lil and it won't load it'll just close automatically! How do I fix it??

@VerdeEon11 That could happen for alot of reasons, if you used Jailbreakme i heard thats one of the errors after a while, what i suggest is re-jailbreaking. What did you originally jailbreak with?

yea every time i try to open cydia it says "loading data" but then it just shuts down, i was wondering if you knew how to fix that

@carazybio Yea if it does that use BlackRa1n just run it while its in that screen, happens with 3rd Gens, so i suggest do that or JB with Spirit

@CYTfreak idk...see SpiritJB is the only site to jailbreak my itouch. 10% of my friends say that blakra1n works! 55% of my friends say SpiritJB works! i tried blackra1n first, clicked on "let it rain", and "OMFG! AN ERROR HAS OCCURED?! WTF?! what a rip!" So i went onto SpiritJB, clicked download, updated my itouch, boom!! Congradulations!! itouch jailbroke!

@TribalKing917 LMAO, blackra1n is a TETHERED Jailbreak, if you are looking for certain unlocks for you itouch thats what you use, not just for jailbreak. You obviously dont know too much about Tethers haha. Blackra1n isnt just for jailbreaking, infact its for more than that, and you were prob on the wrong firmware. Check your facts ;)

TETHERED? pfft...i never knew Blackra1n had a soft spot...but yea, ur right...i probably know nothin about TETHERES that much. oh well, im still sticking to SprirtJB...i dont wanna to erase all my data [yet]. Oh! one more thing, there's another site called "Redsnow", soo... is that like a related site towards Blackra1n?! (that was my second attempt to jailbreak my itouch before SJB. and guess what, wasn't good.) XD

hey so whenever i try to download a theme or lockscreen or something it says operation timed out. it only happens at my house but at my friends houses with their wireless internet it works fine. do you know how to fix this ?

@thqaed It is your wireless internet, you either don't have access to it, or you don't have the right ports opened, your router might not have a port open for it, google ports needed for ipod download or something to that effect. tell me the results

@FCUKSL0W go to google and search WinSCP and download that, then plug your iPhone into the computer, boot up WinSCP and go to the music file, then copy and paste it all into any folder you want (you should make one on desktop) and then add that folder to iTunes.

@reza1305 it might have been synced wrong, or it could just be you are not on firmware 3.1.2

Wow, thanks man, it worked. After installing it, it popped up with a big message saying it failed to install and did not install at all, but I went back and downloaded something that wouldn't work previously, and it worked!

After using Blackra1n everything worked. But after a while i can't open Cydia. When I open Cydia it closes after like 1 sec or something. Any fix to this?

Has anyone had this problem after jailbreaking your iPod through Blackra1n, then install Cydia, Rock, Intallous and a game it goes back into its recovery mode after a few hours of being jailbroken? It wont let me go back to the original setting....It's still in the recovery mode. I held both the power and home button for a few seconds, then wait for the apple logo to appear, but yet it still goes in the recovery mode. Please advise, anyone. Thanks.

you have a tetherd jail breakso bluck it in do the jail break it will tell you to restore DONT and then itll go back to normal if you shut off or reboot your ipod it will do this

@resny0 yea your using a 3rd gen itouch..it does that..black rain just has issues..so just pull up blackra1n and click make it rain everytime it does that
