@evhwolfgangguitar no not true, steve morse i think gave music man more recognition, by the time eddie joined up they were already a well established name. as well, music man has been around for many years prior to evh and were known for their bass guitars. sterling ball gave my uncle a sweet acoustic bass guitar in the late 70;s with a jumbo body, thing played great!!
@evhwolfgangguitar -I don't believe that. Ernie Ball has been a major player in the guitar world for many years. They have a ton of of people on their list, but Steve Morse was probably the first big face.
LMFAO! I have 2 EBMM EVH axes and will never part with them. But that Nigel Tufnel axe was awesome! xD Long live the Tap! I never got to see that beast up close. I want one lol Thanks for this vid!
i know a girl that worked at the peavey plant said working with eddie was a real ass hole to work with this from her own words not mind so please no negitive feedback my coment please
also, a certain left handed guy from Liverpool, mainly known as a bassist has a red Axis model. he used it on an album he released in '93 and used it live for a spell.
@butterknucklez Ed always liked his trems 2B as flush 2 the body as possible so he can get a richer tone when not using the bar. Also, a lot of floating units wobble up & down in pitch slightly when U really dig in & bend notes without the bar. Which can make your chords sound a tad out of tune. I hate that about my Ibanez Jem Wh7. I have my 2 EBMM EVH's blocked at the rear which gives them even more sustain and rich tone without warble when I dig in hard. Ed doesn't pull up on his bar much too.
2TEK is not out of business. It is alive and doing quite well, making the best bridge out there. I was lucky enough to get a G&L Bluesboy with a 2TEK fitted last year. The note separation and sustain is incredible! Find them on the web at the2tek.com or buy a Thorn guitar with one already installed!
That's comedy. Putting my guitar down with my kick-ass 2tek bridge made just recently to watch this video and hear that "the company [2tek] has been gone several years."
Its official. I want that white EVH.
