@sambone5407 I would say "no longer work out barefoot" after I dropped the kettlebell on my left foot, which destroyed it completely and it had to be amputated above the knee..
Kidding
Actually, it's not a cannonball, it doesn't fly like one either. Even if you are slower than most people you still have ple-e-enty of time to realize that you dropped the kettlebell and it about to land on your foot and therefore to remove the foot from the landing area.
I want to thank you Nikolay for inspiring me! After watching your videos I went to your link and ordered Mahler's Aggressive Strength DVD. It changed my life! Not only Mike shows the exercises, but he also breaks everything down and explains every detail so even for a beginner it's very easy to master all the moves and techniques! I already lost 7 lbs and it's just a beginning! Soon you will be watching my videos on YouTube! Thank you again!
@PabloG129 Welcome to the sport! Everything I know about kettlebells I learned from Mike Mahler. He is one of the greatest instructors when it comes to kettlebells- with his detailed explanations and ability to break down every exercise into smaller meaningful and logical pieces. I would never be where I am right now without his course! Good luck in your path to the new body and new abilities!
i just started kettlebelling i hope i get as good as you this is my first mounth using it and its done wonders for my bad back i feel good. thanks for the vid.
Awesome vid bro! It inspired me to get into kettlebells! I am starting to make some strength, mma and kettlebell videos myself! Maybe I could be a positive influince on others just as you are! Keep up the good work!
This is great stuff. I love the raw outdoor training. It reminds me of the stories Arnie used to tell of going into the woods with his mate and squatting logs all day!
I love the use of the 32kg under water THAT is impressive very VERY nice. I have been doing Girevik sport training for some time now and have noticed a difference in my appetite I am eating huge portions of food now but still losing weight? Anyone else find that?
Do you have a copy of your routines anywhere and what size kettlebell are you using? You make the routine look enjoyable and its very impressive. I have tried it with a small KB and after that I was even more impressed.
@k2e0t1t1le There are no routines, it's just a bunch of different flips and throws I either invented or "borrowed" from somebody else. You can combine them in any order you want. I normally use 16 or 20 kg kettlebell for anything with behind the back release, in front you can flip 32 kg relatively easily (depending on your shape, obviously)
Awesome video!! I'm a fatass right now. I have five kettelbells at home from 45lbs to 106lbs. Just started kb training maybe 3 months ago, not very diligent though I must say.
Just started KB's about two weeks ago. I love it, but man! I don't think I was ever that tired before. Already seeing gains but have a long way to go. Did you make any big diet adjustments, or was it mostly intense exercise?
wonderful job! however, i'm just looking out for you and i'd like to mention that as you do turkish-get-ups, please try to keep your wrist perfectly straight. do not allow the KB to bend the wrist. you'll eliminate long term problems.
overall, i love what you have become. keep up the good work! be the inspiration to us all.
awesome!! I hate to ask ,but how old are you? I think you are inspirational .You have done a great job .It takes a lot of discipline to make changes that are not always as fun as you make it look .theres a lot of days when people will want to give up .you make it look worthwhile. You reap what you sow
Congratulations on your weight loss! The one thing that concerns me is the possible damage to the shoulder and elbow muscles due to the repetition and weight load on them. Especially since not only are you repeating the same maneuvers, but you often grab the kettlebell midair and then it creates a lot of force on your joints as it drops down. Have you experienced any injuries or pain in your shoulders, elbows and hands? Other than this concern, I commend you on your incredible exercises. =)
Great for you! congrats! I love kettlebells and I have bought them for a couple of friends to get them started...you know once you have one, you want to pick it up every time you see it
This vid actually inspired me to go out and get a kettlebell and get to work! I've watched a variety of kettlebell vids prior to this but never got around to doing anything. Thanks for the inspiration! It's just what I needed!
Inspirational stuff and a great video.I am still at the swing and cleans stage but can already feel the benefits. Thanks for the extra push to keep trying.
great video man, im new to using kettlebells and ive been an athlete for years lol. too bad i didnt discover them years ago. how much does this kettlebell weigh in pounds? if your not sure how much it is in pounds then you can let me know in kilos
thank you for sharing this video!!! I started doing kettle bell training and my swimming has improved incredibly, I'm swimming 5000 meters now, (100 laps) in less than 2 hours
hey. I actually gut the 35lb kettlebell. I cannot say how much strength i have agined. Dumbells in no way shape or form can compare to kettlebells!
I learned to the clean and press to perfection now. However i do not have any room in my apartment to do snatches. I hear thats where you gain the most strength.
my skinny wrists, hands, and forearms have gained muscle. I never thoughti t would be so
Hey man this video is a GREAT inspiration to me! I've been out of the gym for 6 months and am becoming flabby, but I do not desire that "gym-rat" look! This has shown me an alternative to get the physique I desire. I awlays used the kettlebells the gym had but had no Idea they could do so much! Many thanks for the vid!
I must say, a friend mentioned kettlebells to me a few months ago, so I decided to take a look at exercises on here. Your video was the first one I chose to see and I was impressed. I then went back to my friend and told him that I am in! I got my first 16 kg a few months ago and use it in my own personal workout routine now!
Awesome! I love the way you made these workouts. So innovative, did you come up with some of these yourself? How many lbs have you lost up to date? I'm considering getting a kettlebell, wow, great video!
Its all relative. Id say I work out at about 80% - 90% intensity in a maintenance mode and I still improve constantly. But, again, kettle bells are a drug of some kind - they are very addictive and you will enjoy every workout, you would not have to force yourself like with just lifting weights.
Kettlebells are ace. Got a good 20kg one for xmas and combined with my regular workout im gasping and nearly puking up after training with them . I'm 6'3 180 lbs/81 kg, I purchased a set of 16 KG kettlebells a few weeks ago and I'm sore from head to toe haha but I'm loving it, it's way more fun and motivating than a gym.
Well, you will be capable at some point, but you shouldn't, it's a pretty heavy work out and your body needs time to recuperate. 3 times per week is probably the best schedule.
Actually, that "Chuck Norris" scene was included for pure decorative purposes, but if you want to give it a try you have plenty of time - it was shot in mid-November in Iowa.
Kettlebells are the best, started with a paper weight 4kg, inside of 2 months 8kg, now up to 16kg, Get your form right first or you WILL injure yourself very very quickly with a KB upto 5times the weight you are swinging thanks to force and gravity
Most people who start working out with kettlebells are "kind of weak" in the beginning and with time they become "kind of strong". Kettlebell exercises are a great way to improve your weak grip problem as well.
I started KB training two months ago (at 41) and have lost 28 lbs. I wish I knew about KBs at 23. Respect your elder and go get "enter the kettlebell' book and dvd by pavel and start!
Nice music

You are amazing! I am inspired to do this kettlebell training. Can you do the workout exercises you show everyday?
zenyogi98 2 years ago
Well, you will be capable at some point, but you shouldn't, it's a pretty heavy work out and your body needs time to recuperate. 3 times per week is probably the best schedule.

never occurred to me to try kettlebelling in water. I gotta get out to my lake before it starts getting cold!

Actually, that "Chuck Norris" scene was included for pure decorative purposes, but if you want to give it a try you have plenty of time - it was shot in mid-November in Iowa.

Practically everywhere - 70 LB / 32 KG, only juggling (with behind the back release) - 35 LB / 16 KG. Flipping in front - 70 LB / 32 KG as well.

Kettlebells are the best, started with a paper weight 4kg, inside of 2 months 8kg, now up to 16kg, Get your form right first or you WILL injure yourself very very quickly with a KB upto 5times the weight you are swinging thanks to force and gravity

I don't think Pavel would approve of the behind the back pass. Looks awesome though

I am kind of weak. Do you guys and gals think if istart with kettlebells i can gain strength?
My main problems have always been my WEAK grip and skinny forearms.
Will this help?
punannybai 2 years ago 2
Most people who start working out with kettlebells are "kind of weak" in the beginning and with time they become "kind of strong". Kettlebell exercises are a great way to improve your weak grip problem as well.
