Nothing wrong with the lower end AT carts. I still use an AT13E with my Technics SP15 as my primary cart for transfer to digital. Surprisingly, the 30+ year old stylus is still perfect. I just keep cleaning it, and putting it under a microscope, and there is still no wear on it. Nice transparency and space. I'm thinking about moving up to a 440. A moving coil is my next big upgrade. Nice table and musical selection. Can't go wrong with McIntosh! Cheers!
LOL beninki good eye. I have BSR turntables... I always install an original Pfanstiel head shell. They usually came with this... plus they are still available which I love! Hail records!!!
@mannerpanner Well it seems like a person just can't get away with anything these days. The cartridge that was in this turntable was damaged, it cost about 350.00, so I didn't replace it right away. I keep various types of lower priced cartridges on hand for a temporary substitute, and got caught. This turntable cartridge combination is like the old saying wearing a tuxedo with tennis shoes. I don't think this is a pricey A T cartridge, but I doesn't sound bad for a temporary replacement
Hi beninski707 LOL!!! Boy what an eagle eye you have. Yes you are correct indeed on everything. I had a moving coil cartridge that got damaged, and I was just thinkiing yesterday I need to upgrade this soon to a quality cartridge.
Nice piece of music.. You have a beauty of a turntable. Correct me if I'm wrong but you seem to have a rather low end Audio Technica cartridge. I would say that your TT deserves something a little more upscale. Great video!!
