@WheelyamEakaPEBBLES yeah that's because they are based on the comic book and originally all the turtles had red bandannas. They only way you could tell them apart was their weapons. They changed it for the toys and cartoon so people could tell them apart.
@yodawithsunglasses have you seen the pics for the new tmnt classics figures? check them out you might not want to customize them after you see those. Oh and a tip for painting get a small brush and good paints and go really slow.

Good review. One thing, though. These figures definitely DO have an ankle pivot. They actually have one of the best ankle pivots I've ever seen. It's funny how important that joint is to us collectors.
Awesome custome repaints! I have the box set but my dons right leg was broken when I recieved it. I am afraid to repaint these fig.s cause they are SO rare now. Any idea how to find the original clamshell packaged turtles anywhere but ebay under 50 each?
i heard that neca (who made these figures) was trying to get series 2 to be sold at retail but the only company licensed to make tmnt toys is playmates and they were trying to make series 2 available at retail and possibly the series 1 figures but they couldn't cause of playmates. that sucks cause i would love to see alot more tmnt figs from neca and not playmates.
