Hey, glad you liked the video. The ability to zoom in on detail is a bonus that most cameras don't allow.

Hey there, I'm thinking of buying this camera, and Just watched ur vid in YouTube's HD mode.

Does YouTube HD still compress the quality abit or is that as good as it is straight from the camera?

Also it looked a bit jerky, does it struggle abit with only 30fps?

Well im not sure if youtube does this, but i know that the camera have some sort of video compressing that should make the videos smaller from the recording of the camera.

You Tube makes it about 90 - 95% of the quality and smoothness compared to the original.

Being in a PAL country I only get 25fps in AVCHD. Can use MOV format to get 30fps, but the files are twice as large.

Yes, normal program mode. AVCHD lite and PAL (no choice re PAL)

Unimpressive?? Comparing it to what?? It is the first compact camera capable of HD video recording, and unlike dedicated video cameras, take great photos also.
