I like the idea of playing as Mecha Sonic. But I think that the bloopers during the credits illustrates why the size of the collision boxes should have been left alone.

@GothamCity2100 Its a Rom hack. You cannot play as either Mecha or Silver Sonic by normal means.

@Lix198606 Actually, Mecha Sonic and Metal Sonic are different characters. Mecha is the taller one who appears in Sonic 3K and Sonic 2 (sometimes called Silver Sonic) and Metal Sonic is the one that's in Sonic CD.

then sonic 3 had a metal sonic that was blueish in colour? Is this mecha sonic? His name isnt stated in the game. Google imagary brings up the blue one for both mecha and metal sonic? The metal sonic in sonic cd you mention is also blue? so why would that one have a different name?

@Lix198606 Dr.Robotnik was his oringinal name till the creators changed the English name to the Japanese name of Robotnik, Eggman, so the Japanese made in the English version Sonic started the Eggman idea in Sonic Adventure. Really confusing

@Lix198606 Sonic 2 -> Silver Sonic, Sonic and Knuckles -> Mecha Sonic, Sonic CD -> Metal Sonic. There is only one Metal Sonic. Each is independent of the other. For confirmation of this, maybe play SA1 and in the area for entry into the Final Egg, you'd notice that Silver Sonic and Metal Sonic are in separate chambers and both are present.

Ha, not a bad playthrough, considering that's the version without the major fixes. I'm personally quite impressed. Now, many of you haven't seen the fixes implemented, most all of which were only in the internal builds. Maybe some of the builds before the source code was compromised (long story; do not want to share) will be released sometime in the future, if the hack isn't completely redone.

Oh, and this is IronSonic, creator of the hack, borrowing a friend's account.

Why is Eggman colored differently?

The game's color pallete had to change to give Mecha the right colors.

This changes the colors for anything that was changed, including Robotnicks.

Great explanation. That's pretty much the reason for the odd colorations. In the later internal builds, I replaced Robotnik/Eggman with EggRobo, which took the palette alterations far better than the "Sunbaked Robotnik" seen in v0.2.

Again, this is IronSonic borrowing a friend's account. I will probably get my own account and stop borrowing my friends if I keep commenting on these.

I would have been crushed by Robotnik @ :56 seconds. That was cutting it too close!

Any idea what the new level designs in areas would be like? I really only still think only a few sprite changes to certain objects and enemy placement changes will work. Anyway more ways to go is better...hope it stays hardcore like the original reminds me! Good luck!
