Use signs instead of ladders if you dont want some drops to go into the lava.

on me the mobs starts to climb up the lava and when they dies, the loot gets destroyed :S

Kiershar, have you noticed a glitch in the damage done by lava? In my case, creatures take double the time to die and their screams increase by a lot making them annoying.

@Jwsdsnake The water is 1 block lower and the item slots is only a 1 block hole now. Also added a cactus on the side to kill spider that jams the machine.

@gighalo haha just make it so if u remove 2 blocks the entrance is near a dungeon xD or that they walk straight in it from a dungeon :3 easyest way, unless u wanna dig a huge ass cave and make huge cannals to get em into the trap wich is also easy, but time consuming

@cnvrt02 Make sure the tunnel to the lava is maximum 2 block high AND there is blocks above the lava. Also not all mobs drop items, don't expect drops from eveyone of them.

How in the flying fuck do I find lava!? I dig down diagonally as deep as possible just to find those stupid unbreakable blocks! can anyone provide me with help please?

@Tyman305 Just play like you normally would, just find caves, but if you want to be find lava real fast, you'd either need to look for caves near medium sized lakes or oceans, it's either luck or something coded, but I get the biggest caves there.

Hell, I once needed to make a whole net of redstone torches just to find my way back.

@homerjoe84 you make it so this device starts in a dark room. The monsters spawn in there and fall into the trap. the lava makes them catch fire and you make it so there is only enough space for something like a chicken to get through. The remains of the creatures go through but the creatures dont.
