Can Sawstop rip less than 3/4in off the fence when the guard is in place/. With the use of the riving knife can a guard be used in conjunction or does the operator have to rely on the flesh sensor for safety ?

Amazing techology. Although I'm worried this could create complacency in wood shops. I can see how some could treat this as a replacement for proper table saw use. It's a last line of protection - nothing more.
