I was once COGIC and used to do the very thing that this brother is doing, although I wasn't nearly as calculated and showy. But it's definitely those drums and that organ.The music brings about the feelings of excitement and euphoria as it's combined with the pastor's words, followed by organ riffs and beating of drums and smashing of the cymbals, excitement gets heightened, people start shouting "hallelujah," stand up and raise hands, some start talking gibberish like, "Obama ba shatta bo ko hickuh mah sah," and the buckdancing begins

You learned a lot by attending those churches, although the term plantation buckdancing could be offensive to some people. Yes, music is really the major component in shouting. What made me dance was the excitement and euphoria that you talked about, and like my old pastor used to say, music can make a mule dance. I just came to realize that all that is pretty meaningless in the whole scheme of things. You go to church, dance, come home tired, yet don't feel anymore spiritual than before.
