As long as the world is addicted to oil, the world will be addicted to US dollars. In other words, to buy oil, it has to be done in DOLLARS.

Iraq was invaded because it wanted Euros instead of dollars. Now Iran wants Euro instead of dollars for its oil. We are going to invade Iran.

America has an dollar only policy when it comes to oil. The Unite States military enforces this dollar only policy.

Hendry is a bs artist. As little as 2 years ago he was in a BBC documentary encouraging the british central banks to lower their interest rates. In other words he thought we need more borrowing in the economy. Now that it is clear that it won't work he is talking about the debt problem. Hendry is nothing but a silver tongued con-artist.

yeah, I was also researching him, and I found recent interview by CNBC Europe I think, it was for about an hour. Anyways, they called him out on the fact he did not participate in the rally since March of 2009 till Jan 2010. He sold gold somewhere around $700, saying it will go down to 500, which never did happen. With that said, he is mentioning a very interesting thing about Asia, and that is the Confucious society (very different from what Westerns understand). continued...

[did not have space there] anyways, I am reading "In the Jaws of the Dragon America's Fate in the Coming Era of Chinese Hegemony." I have to admit that author is making very important arguments about the way business is done in East Asia under the slogan "Subduing the enemy without the use of force is acme of skill". There is no space here to elaborate, but I am almost sure that Hendry's views on Asia must come from this book, and the book indeed is excellent.
