Out of the 50 million how-to monofin videos I just watched yours was by far the most entertaining. Good tip re: slippers from local dollar store. I'm wondering instead of slippers at all if I sew 2 pieces of say 3" wide elastic onto the plastic board (I'm thinking of trying it w/ Mylar, which is very flexible & I could sew through it, too, & then you slip your feet into the elastic, see what I mean? Possibly add another piece (2) of elastic to snug around your heels.

Just got done with my monofin turned out perfect only took me 3 minutes I used cardboard socks and I glued, reaped and stapled the sox to the fin lol hope it works in water I also used super glue ;D

If you took your idea and added some sheet rubber from home depot you could make your tail longer. all you'd need is a staple gun or poke some holes and tie it together.

Hi MermaidJillian i tried it and it was brilliant but i didnt have any plastic board i had this laminated flexible plastic and got some old flip flops and i didnt have any crazy glue so i used duck tape so thnk you for the vid xx

its not cardboard. It plastic board. It's made of completely plastic. And it's very flexible and very nice to swim with. It works just as well as a regular monofin.

I used crazy glue for my monofin but super glue works too. And it's not posterboard paper, it's completely tough plastic board. I'll find out what it's called and get back to you. And congrats on the h2o locket! Which one did you get? Rikki's, Cleo's, or Emma's?
