...altitude compared to your entry, you won't gain airspeed. Also, an RV will easily loop from much less than 200 mph. You'll give yourself much more margin, especially if you keep power in, and come out a little low. To enter at 200 mph with full power up, and idle down, will produce a loop that is nowhere near round, or even symmetrical. Fun video. RVs are the best all-around planes.
Constructive comments - you'll need a good bit of right rudder (if rolling left) as you roll from inverted to upright during the immelman and cuban. There's a significant heading deviation after the roll compared to before. Since you're staying positive G, the lift vector is pulling you off heading unless you correct with rudder. Also, no need to pull power off on the backside of a loop. Enter with cruise power, full power up, and return to cruise power on the backside. Unless you lose...
@narfmasta I do fly the full size...thanks for your negative assumption! What I am saying is that during maneuver such as the split-S there should be small hesitation after the half roll before the pull, etc...Also the deviation in altitude. Anyway, it's an RV not and Extra, and this is not competition aerobatic but I'm just saying!
Nice video... My dad built and flew a RV-4, my plan is gettin a PPL in US next year and follow his fotsteps build my own RV-4! This Video is good inspiration!
Very awesome demonstration of the RV-4, and her abillities! I look forward to more of these vids!! Bought my 4 a year ago, and I think its a great ship!! GREAT JOB!!!!!
Nice video, im hoping to be flying mine by spring.

Oh, and regarding the split S, the judging criteria (in competition) dictates no hesitation (no line) after the roll. In response to a comment below.

@stikmunkey fair enough, but I'm pretty sure the former (or maybe current) AF pilot knows how to correctly perform a split S.
