Well I achieved 3.4GHz with liquid cooling so I can't be sure about air but if you are using your PC in a cool enviroment then it shouldn't be too bad just make sure you up te speeds and voltages bit by bit to get an accurate read on increasing temps so you don't push too hard on air.
I dunno actually, though now I have two GTX 295s in quad SLI, 9550 at 3.4 GHz and I get around 27k. Still could do better which is why I'm gonna upgrade to i7 soon.
nice vid we got the same mobo..and my question is if u sli or 3sli the 3 slots how many bandwidth i'll give 16x the 1st and the second is 8x? im not sure ..if 3sli is enabled woudnt be useless if taht the case?
All 3 PCI Express slots are x16. Though, for the sake arguement, it was like two at x16 and one PCIe slot at x8 that wouldn't be a very noticeable differance that one could notice. I believe a lot of i7 boards are like that, not having all x16 PCIe slots.
Do you use the stock NB fan and does it cause serious temp issues as i've read? also wondering if you think i could fit a replacement 60mm fan in the small space between the NB heatsink and the zalman you have.
Doesn't really cause huge problems but it does warm up whatever GPU that is underneath it by a few degrees. Some people do add their own fan and simply face it away to solve that issue.

GTX 260 :), probably the best bang for the buck card out. especially the CORE 16 version.

What CPU fan are you using? You have virtually the same rig I do and I plan on starting to OC.

I use the Zalman CNPS 9700 NT cooler.

And no issues pulling 3.4? I know some people are pulling almost 4 on air but thats nuts! My goals gonna be between 3.6 and 3.8.

You might have enough clearance for a new fan if you use the Zalman CNPS 9700.
