Actually according to Wikipedia the song came out in 1939, so that was before the Tokens in 1961. True, they are the ones who drove it to the top of the charts, but they were actually doing a cover and they did not write the song, just performed it better than anyone else.

I think someone's just having a laugh. So it's the Tokens, but a great song & really well sung, the Beach Boys would have been proud of it... much worse are the later versions of the Beach Boys, like that led by Mike Love, or even Brian WIlson with his band, sadly his voice is not what it used to be. These guys are pretty good musicians but for me they just don't have the vocal magic of the original Beach Boys.
