Karma merely affects what companions you can hire, Clover & Jericho are Evil only, Butch & that robot thingie are Neutral only and Star Paladin Cross & Fawkes are Good only... wouldn't use Fawkes if you have Broken Steel installed, he's ridiculously overpowered due to his broken health (something like 230k) and 85% Damage Resistance.

just got this game and its f'kin awesome , no one ever told me its like oblivion + i grinded that game to death :D /whys that big dude so hard to put down btw ? did you play on very hard setting ?

@TheEnzime I ALWAYS play on Very Hard, difficulties below that are for pansies :P

And "that big dude" is the toughest enemy in the game (there's actually 5 of them), has 2000 HP (Sniper Rifles does about 42 damage when you've got maxed Small Guns) and Very Hard makes enemies take less damage than normally. If I hadn't crippled his legs he'd run faster than I would, meaning I would have died in matter of seconds.

@TheEnzime Yeah, Small Guns affects all pistols and rifles that uses bullets. Overall I'd say Small Guns is prolly the best combat related skill because small guns are easiest to find (and therefore maintain) and they seem to have better Damage per Shot than most Energy weapons... Big guns are kinda nice for low Crit characters but they deterioate fast.

And yeah, Hunting Rifle is best overall rifle, look for 'Ol Painless :)

Decent damage and ammo is plentiful.
