Your going to think I am a deuchebag for saying this, but this film isn't original, its just a bunch of beetle songs sung by sellouts. They tried to make this movie look indie even though its main-stream and Sony failed. They thought that just because a good indie play like RENT could be turned into a good main-stream film, they could do the same with Acros the Universe, but no, they failed.

Across the universe is one of my favorite movie but i agree with you for the "indie" part.

And I didn't found it original, I found it beautiful. I think it's better when you watch it just for the beauty of the images!
