  • This type music....isnt duplicated by modern pop, pop music now isnt even in the same universe.

  • WAS 11 WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT FORGOT ABOUT IT TILL LAST YEAR WHEN I HEARD IT ON ONE OF THE OLD MOVIES IN THE BACKROUND ....GREAT SONG...!!

  • TRUE BEAUTY!

  • I play all the songs that were on the Dairy Queen jukebox during my junior high years.

  • This is so awesome, last time I saw you was in Nashville, TN....you are still just a beautiful....

  • geweldig! ik vond dit nummer toen ik jong was prachtig.

ik wist niet dat er ooit een clip van was gemaakt.

    Echt nostalgie

  • aaaaaahhhhhhh..... beautiful....

  • one of THE songs of the 70's, the best music decade ever.

  • @dublinblue4 I don't see how there will ever be another decade like the 70's music in the next 1000 years--nothing before it or after it will equal it. Seventies music reached it

pinnacle of maturity. Rock and roll was in a revolution. I think Susan jacks is beautiful and I love her voice especially on "Winter Milk"! It's a shame that the video's are in such bad condition to watch. It would be nice if we could have access to all original sources and have them converted to HD 1080.

  • Gorgeous song...

  • Thanks to the wonders of science and love of family, Susan has beaten her illness and we can only hope, record again soon. Cheers

  • This song stands to be one of best of 1969...thank you .

  • oh my God she is still so beutiful

  • This lady still got it...... looks and talent.

  • Dumb-ass Billy should be going in the direction of this beautiful babe! This song is a pure classic sung by a goddess.

Beatiful song, beatiful voice and one hot sexy lady! pure class!! please take me me back??? Im ready!!!

  • I have always loved the chorus to this song. The harmony is astounding!

  • "Arghhh, Billy have you ever been to sea ?"

    "No, Captain Hindgrinder"

  • @MrStuartangus that is funny but wrong!!!!

  • How beautiful can a song get?? *****

  • That is Terry Jacks Wife singing

  • @KevinStr6 CDN talent at it's best!

  • Is that Terry Jacks playing the guitar beside her? Cool song... memories.... Thks

  • i haven't heard this song for like 30 years!!! we found a little kitten and named him BILLY..... and i remembered this song. I LOVE IT!!!!

  • I just want to say I got a chance to meet her a few years ago 'Hippie days' on 4 th ave in kitsilano. She still looked beautiful and was very nice and she signed my record too ! I was so happy :) She was sitting outside at Sophies resturant signing a few autographs. My favorite song is ' Which way you going Billy ' .

  • Susan Jacks is stunningly beautiful.

  • awesome

  • I wish they were still a band. Even though I wasn't alive, when they were a band, I'd so go and see them live. I love the quality of the lyrics, the pain you can feel in it.

  • I'd love this tune even if my name wasn't William. What a tremendous arrangement.

  • awesome makes LIFE more awesome

  • 1969?!!! I thought it was from the 79's!!!!

  • Susan and Terry Jacks:

    PLEASE!!!

Find a way to get back together and love each other.

    WE MISS YOUR MUSIC!!!!!

  • Awesome! 10+*

    hugs,

    Sandy

  • this isnt about Susan or Mike....this is about....this is about u.... George....and Ziggy...:P

  • wow George..U know Susan too?? u never told me...what u said was u did like the Ziggy Stardust persona...and the dude/dudette who sing " You Spin me round"...and hey thats ok in the modern world...but u should come out publically as there isnt near the homophobia there once was...:P

  • I love this song!

  • Comment removed

  • i wonder how old is susan jack she still beautful

  • for my sister Gabrielle. i remem, ber you and bill.

  • terry and susan jacks yaaaa

  • This Song does have such an awesome hook, and she is so angelic singing this

song. It was 17 weeks at the number 2 position on the charts. That is a sign of the hook. How many people in this world play music, and never even get a recording done. Give credit where credit is due. Terry Jacks & his wife were on TV, and the charts and were making their money from music..... did not have to work a day job that they hated like the rest of us. Be nice and enjoy in their blessings !!!

  • DRShawCICA most likely sucks that Lady Ga Ga's boner. He does'nt appreciate these old classics. I LOVE this song.

  • DRShawCICA is a dum shit hole!! and ya U suck..!!

  • To say this song sucks, is really not a fair statement!! The late '60's music was changing constant. Hendrix, Zeppelin, and such were blazing new trails that had

never been done. This song was written in the AM RADIO days and has a great hook. To say it sucks, is like comparing a car from 1947, with a 2011 model and saying the old car sucks! It might not be your cup of tea but please respect the

fact it did make it on the charts and it was written in the 1960's!!! Thanks !!

  • Awww... The memories this beautiful song invokes... When music was really music and love was something that made people feel blessed.

  • My foster brother Billy loved this song, he killed himself in 1977 making this song all the more poignant to me.

  • Lol, this song sucks

  • I love this my first love bought this for me I loved him I love this BEAUTIFUL

  • great song!

  • Wow Glad to see all of you people who enjoy this song. Happy Canada Day to all concerned and Happy 4th of July 2011 to all on "Happy Island" ( another great Poppy Tune)

  • THE BEST AND SO SO SWEET ,,WISH WE COULD GO BACK TO THESE DAYS AND WHAT A WONDERFUL TEENAGE DAYS AND LAZY HOT SUMMER S WITH ROLLER SKATING AND LOOKING TO THE FAIR COMING TO TOWN ,,,COULD RUN TROW THE GARDEN HOSE ,,COME IN WHEN THE STREET LIGHTS CAME ON

  • These are real music to anyone's ears! It's got meaning to it and you can actually understand what they're singing and not all the screaming kinna singing!

  • CLASSIC! That's all I have to say. :)

  • You are so correct "thekenandkam1991" the music of the 60's and 70's was the very best!!

  • One of the loveliest songs ever!

  • ALSO TO YOUR RETARDED COMMENT, SIT BACK AND THINK, HAVE U NOTICED TV COMMERCIALS AND MANY MOVIES ARE USING AND PLAYING SONGS FROM THE 60'S AND 70'S? NOT LATE 1990'S OR NEWER? CUZ THEY SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • FIRST OF ALL, IT WAS AN EARLY 70'S SONG, STUPID ASS, 2ND, LATE 90'S MUSIC WASNT MUSIC, IT WAS NOISE, YOU MORON, AFTER 1989, MUSIC WAS GONE AND U CANT COMPARE IT TO THE 60'S AND 70'S REAL AND GOOD MUSIC

  • @thekenandcam1991

you are right 1989 was the year music tanked with milli vanilli and it never recovered. new people got into position of power in 1990 to decide what will get heard and produced and what will not be heard or not produced.

  • @thekenandcam1991 well said!

  • This is Quite a good track this particular song it was a hit in 1970

  • this is one of the BEST songs of the late 60s, and there were plenty of good ones too. I used to listen to this on 77 WABC on my little transistor radio at 8 years old. :'o)

  • Awesome Song! It don't Get Much Better Than This. Memories

  • what a great song & of course that the woman singing is handicappd and confined to wheel chair. what a horrible situation & what a great song.

  • @pbrick6301 Susan Jacks isn't handicapped and confined to a wheel chair, she's just sitting in a chair.

Where did you come up with that?

  • @adm7007 I heard she has End Stage Renal Failure.

  • @khj93play1 She had a kidney transplant in 2010 and is back in action/performing/recording.

    According to her website.

  • I remember just loving this song when I was 6....thank you for posting this...! !!

  • This song has haunted me through the years, so many memories attached to this song. Lost loves and all that....

  • how can a person not like this

  • Magnificent~Beautiful~Song~!~!~!~!~

  • Wow - I never knew this was terry jacks! I remember it from Jimmy Savilles "golden oldies" show when I was little.

  • 1969 was the year of the century for music....

  • Oooh... Susan Jacks... I always forget about this song...

  • Shinedown..Save Me.....Collective Soul..Better Now......Three Doors Down..Not My Time......Alice in Chains..Your Decision....... the songs mentioned above will stand up to ANY sixties or 70s songs..period....and Hooties pop pap isnt image wise in the same universe as any of these guys or even Pearl Jam..who were collectively better than most of the 60s and70s bands..

  • @shadoww1000 Cool man, I actually went ahead and downloaded the four songs you mention. Will listen closely and figure 'em out on guitar. That will ensure an appreciation.

  • love 60s..70s....but u need to also listen to Shinedown ...and Collective Soul...and Prelude to June... and Three Doorsdown..there IS lots of good new music as well

  • @shadoww1000 thanks for the suggestion. I checked out these four bands on iTunes samples. No offense, but they're all in that Alice in Chains/Pearl Jam/Hootie vein...each song sounds similar to the other, but none stands out. I sincerely want them to be good, but they don't deliver the HOOK. It's hard to write a classic song because the melodic structure has to be very unique and strong. Not blaming these bands. I think it's a collective muse that anoints certain eras, not others.

  • Songs that have meaning and heart. This one has always meant alot to me.

  • really happy memories of the time when this was played continually

  • the 0767572 - i hate bein negative, but u suck ASS u negative m*therf*cker!!!!really f*ckin really?!! ys it gotta comedown to shit like that! good tunes transcend all, mofo! n we all bleed the same f*ckin color!!!!!! *sshole!!

  • classic, nuff said.

  • @michael97501 lol my dad does have a 1968 corvette and i do love the music, my family uses propane tho, i spend alot of time outside, i went to a couple of concerts, and i do talk to people in person, hey what do you know its like i am in the 60s and 70s lol thanks for the advice

  • Bad Lighting or GIANT nostrils?

  • my names Billy,, its like shes singing to me btw im only 14 and i think this is good music, better than any of the stuff thats out now. i wish i could spend a year in 69 or 70

  • Used to great effect in Hard Core Logo!

  • GREAT SONG............ WHAT AN ERA....

  • an amazing song! Some of these old songs are so good.

  • Another Canadian classic to the music world. Thanks for the memories and the timeless song.

  • Such a beautiful voice. It almost makes me screaming. That was a phantastic time. This song I've heard 2 years again on radio first time after almost 30 years! What a shit are they listening today...

  • Incredible song! I had completely forgotten this song, but it all rushed back to me when I heard it again. I was in first grade back then. What happened to musicians like this who had talent down to their bones? It's a shame that not only is this type of musician is gone, but that a "musician" of our time can't even get the National Anthem right!

  • Love this!!!

  • also mrsteve , i do like seasons in the sun , even tho terry jacks /from this song ,were forced to botsh the words ,so the radiio a.m. would play it . its a great poem written by rod mckuen! p.s. , i dont speell check , ha ha

  • just loved this song thanks for posting.

  • She has such a lovely voice.

  • i heard this in the 1970s and thought it was from 1974 but it was out earlier than that.

early fall 1989 when i could no longer stand most top 40 stations i went to the right of the dial and found a station at work that played this. it was a station owned by the great scott broadcasting company.

  • i completely forgot about this song after all these years and I just surfed to it...wow flashbacks

  • to my Billy... love you Aunt Sue

  • This song along with "Everything is Beautiful" by Ray Stevens was played by the local radio station outside Ft. Dix, New Jersey, every morning at 5:00 a.m while I was in Basic Training. I smuggled a small radio into the barracks and listened to this music every morning for about eight or nine weeks. G_d, what memories. The Drill Sergent discovered my radio the last week of basic. Times were different then. I missed being sent to Vietnam by one name on an alphabetical list.

  • LOL MY NAME IS BILLY

  • Too right, my father in law always says rap is a silent C, ie CRAP, i think he is right.

  • OMG..Such memories..thank you for posting this song...

  • GREAT song man do i miss the seventies ; what great music . The Carpenters WERE the best but people actually sung and not with hate or violence like today crappy music.

  • 好讓人懷念的歌曲 !

  • TERRY JACKS AND FIRST WIFE.

  • I have allways loved this song...I have not heard it in years..so glad it was posted hear..

  • 5*****

  • I had a puppy named Billy. Loved that dude.

  • lol. too funny .. I just heard a guy singing something like smoke up a smoke? wutts that? lol.

  • todays so called music CANT BEAT the 60's and 70's music

  • @thekenandcam1991 sure....

  • @thekenandcam1991 Are you kidding? Music didn't really become worth listening too until the late 1990s. I admit that this song is really good, but it's probably the only good song from the 1960s.

  • @AWinterDemise Are you kidding ? Have you ever listened to Mozart, Strauss or Chopin ? Music is in the

ear and heart of the beholder.

  • @AWinterDemise Yeah, sure. You're being sarcastic, right? If not-- please suggest a few titles from the late '90s "worth listening to." I sure must've missed it.

  • @takfam07 Well, I admit that the pop music from the late '90s sucked. But that was when Metal music really matured and became worth listening to. Youtube search for band "Thorr's Hammer"; song: "Troll". It's Doom Metal by a girl with vocals even better than the vocals of Susan Jacks. It's from 1996 and was the dawn of a new era in beautiful music. Check it out.

  • @AWinterDemise OK, now I see you have an impish sense of humor. But thanks for confirming what I always thought-- that music disappeared from '90s onward. The modern artists did nothing more than watch TV, get stoned, hang out at malls. There was no resistance, everything was handed to them. Bicycle helmets, car seats, safety belts, warning labels, political correctness. No inspiration, no muse. Well, glad I lived through the '60s and '70s and heard the good stuff when it was happening.

  • @stormember1

    I turned 17 in 1969. Perfect age!

Most of us woul go back given the chance/choice.

1969 was full of thrills for me and the music made it all just great!

  • @bassball67 yeah vietnam, altamont, nixon, one year after chicago riots, rfk and mlk assasinations...GOOD TIMES!!

  • @sixsixxsixxxx and apollo 10 early 1969 :)

  • Comment removed

  • 16 people don't care where Billy's going.

  • Simply fantastic, the song, the lyrics and most of all the singer- thank you

  • Where's the band? And why is she glued to the chair?

  • ahhhhhhh memories

  • I grew up listening to Susan Pesklevits / Jacks and I don't think I have ever heard as talented a singer as her. Her voice is as beautiful today as it was then.

  • I agree, music isnt the same anymore... least then you can understand the words

  • I heard this song on the radio, first time in many years. bring me back to a simpler time in my life. thanks for posting.

  • Tripsville, cats, tripsville!!!

  • Proper music.

  • is she singing about billy jack?

  • @peter8099 hey never thought of that, but the Time is about right. And Billy "Jack", what a coincidence if it is not about him/ those movies. Now I wonder too ...

  • OMG,,,these were really the days my friends!!! This is when music really meant somethng! What happend???

  • Is that Terry Jacks in the back???

  • @reyes224 Hmmm, looks like it.

    vp more research.

    vp

  • @reyes224 Yup -- a few years before "Seasons In theSun" -- but that's Terry Jacks. He and Susan Jacks were married at the time.

  • @reyes224 Susan and Terry formed the Poppy Family. He didn't really sing on this song though....he's just moving his mouth to look like he did.

  • Great song

  • Todays music is hyperactive mutants venting their fustrations

  • unfortunately this cameraman has made it impossible for us to judge the female singer's build

  • @pbrick6301 I dunno, looks pretty fine to me.

  • Sung by Hillary Clinton after the Monica affair.

  • OK i LOVE THIS SONG!!!....I had a boyfriend Bily and he went away "TRUE TO MY LIFE"

  • PERFECT

  • A very nice song...beautiful girl.

  • Susan I grew up when you had this hit. It was slow dance for rollerskating. This was a true puppy love song. A true longtime fan from Canada girl!!!!!!!

  • I wish the best for you Susan and you will be in my prayers god speed... Aloha..

    Terry, That line ;

"We had joy we had fun we spent seasons in the sun but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time" Has been with me since 1974!

  • I have to agree... One of the most stunning voices to ever come out of Canada... And that's saying a lot considering that Canada has had some VERY stunning voices over the years. I had the pleasure of meeting her years ago, and she is truly a wonderful person.
