Brantly Gilbert is exactly what country music needs right now with all of the "country" music on the radio people think they like coun try because they listen to keith urban and taylor swift, this right here is real country
I grew up in a town with no stoplights and I graduated with a class of 9. You definitely don't miss it until you aren't there anymore. I will always call it home
@whiskeydrinker24 really 9? i think im call bullshit on that one... you dont have to lie cause i doubt anyone cares how many people was in your senior class.
@bamakid0123 Actually I really did have 9 people in my graduating class. Fossil, Oregon. High school had a total of 35 kids grades 7-12. Town population in around 450 people. If you think I am lying, I really do not care. Plus, calling someone out on how many people were in their graduating class seems petty, but if that's how you like to act then so be it. Have a great day bamakid0123
Theres not even words to describe my county.. so much has changed.. developments happening..all the old shops closing/ being tworn down....theres no hosbital so i wasnt born here.... so raised here and ill be layed in the ground here rite next to my daddy up on the hill in my little holler....i may only be 13 but thats a promise ill be layed in the ground under whats left of a small town <33
When i was younger, growing up in small town MA, i hated it. I didnt understand the values and pride that come with it. being a little older now, I love where im from, and man Im damn happy im not from the city. Its great to know all the officers, and to know most everyone. Proud to be from a small town, and God bless all the good old boys.
can't say i live in a small town, or live in a town you can go through town in less than thirty seconds. yall might call me a city slicker then, but when good music like this brings a bunch of good old boys who love the outdoors more than anyone around, get together on weekends having bonfires, bowfishing, and spending time together shooting and telling stories, id say that's what the artist intentions was in the first place. everyone can relate to it from the sticks to the lamp posts.
The town I live in is a small town you can really drive through it in 15sec. You an got no stop lights no city hall just vfd a gas station an a little pizza place called skeeters an a little hard ware store don't believe me drive to harts, west virgina you'll see small an true country ppl. Not these ppl. That think they are all because they listen to country music ohh one other thing down here you ain't got no city water or high speed Internet good luck see y'all later
The town I live in doesn't have a stop light, has a small grocery store, city hall an library are in the same building. Has one doctor at the hospital. Doesn't celebrate 4th of July until the end of July because the 4th is harvest season. lol
my new town out east has 1,000,000+ people 5 high schools, 100's of bars, 100's of cops, traffic all the time. Its hell. I miss my hometown Laramie Wyoming
@grappler131 My friend just moved there to start college and i moved to Sacramento, Ca for the same thing...hasn't even been a month down here and I hate this place...I need to get out on some back country road and meet some friendly country folk like I've known most of my life in Oklahoma
my town has no stoplights, just street lights & stop signs, and there is probably more gravel than pavement, 2 churches, 2 schools (one k-8), one cafe, one grocery store. There isn't even 300 kids in the whole school, we can fit our whole high school on 2 school buses. If somebody drove by you walking home from school theres a really good chance you know them & they gonna wave to you. Just about anywhere you go someone will know you. damn sure its in my blood & I'll be put in the ground there
My hometown has one stoplight, two gas stations and one cafe. less than 200 people in the town, im just like golden pig, ive moved off to college now but I hate that when i drive down the road in my college town no one waves back and they are always mad, I love it at home where everyone waves and if you go up to the cafe at 3 o clock everyday you can catch up and shoot the bull with the old men who drink coffee. I graduated as well with 50. Everyone knew everyone and we had Manners in my town!!!
Although my town is of about 10,000 people. I enjoyed living with my parents. 8 acres, 2 neighbors and town 5 miles away. Nice and quite. Western New York is nicer. Lots of small towns and genuine people :)
my town has 1 bar, 1 church, 1 school (K-8), 1 fire department, and 1 WRT place, 14 miles from an actual city, and less than 30 people living here. i love it so much here. no stoplights, one stop sign all through the town and that's to go onto the highway. only 1 road to go through the whole town. and also, there's a cemetary. used to be a post office, but it got closed down. and before my family even was born there used to be alot here, but most of it got burned down.
i dont live in a small town but not a big city. im 21 and live in ottumwa ia a town shy 0f 15,000 with 3 elementary schools one middle school and one high school with one meat packing plant and a john deer plant and 30 bars and 7 churchs but ive spent 15 years of my life about 10 miles out of town living by the river shooting guns mudding and hunting and getting into trouble by the sheriff haha
i was born in a small town and still live in it. we dont have any stop lights but we do have 2 bars, 1 store, 1 gas station. and i will never live in a big city.
No stoplights, one building housed K-12 until about 13 years ago. Now we have K-8 and 9-12. Two restaurants, one gas station and a Dollar General. We're 15 minutes from the nearest actual grocery store and 20 from the nearest mall. I graduated in a class of 48. The current population is less than 800 and the nearest town has more cows than people. This is home, no matter where I roam.
1 red light, 1 gas station, 2 grocery stores, 1 beauty shop, 1 park, 1 cafe and no school. I have to drive over 10 miles to get to school. i live near the edge of town and drive 10 miles to a school in a different city- graduating glass= 59. population= 850.
My hometown has two stoplights, 1 grocery store and I graduated with the biggest class ever - 50. I miss knowing everyone I saw, them knowing me. Hated it as a child trying to grow, miss it desperately as an adult longing for familiarity in a world grown too big.
@GoldenPig2012 We were 12 in our graduating class. We also have two stoplights and one grocery store. More than half the restaurants take cash only, and thats fine by us. We spend our money on gas and food. The bartender at ''the beaver'' knows you, and you know him. You dont go to the bar to act like a fool, you go to have a good time. We have one police car that patrols at night, and 2 during the day. We know every police officer in town. Its a great place to be, whats left of this small town.
I feel you, friend. Grew up in a big city, moved to a small town at 16, left after i graduated with a class of 27, and I've missed it like crazy... Man, i can still smell the fresh cut pine comin from the mill... I will return someday... I wish you the best.
