actually, the music and themes of the grateful dead music and its origins are quite the opposite of what you would find from a big government politician. the music and themes are closer to the tea party concepts of smaller governments and limiting the kind of ram down your throat taxation without representation illegality that Barack Obama is setting forth.

Im undecided right now about the election but I dont give a fuck what its about, Im there for the music, people and awesome memories, and the allmans of course. I have lost so much respect for the remaining members of the Grateful Dead! I love the Dead (in terms of their music) as much as anyone. It saddens me so much that they have decided to endorse such a leftist as is Obama. They have completely segregated themselves from many of their loyal fans just because some of us don't beleive in socialism and paying out the ass in taxes! What an insult.
