  • ist very difficult to understand

  • Dude you are huge! How long did it take you to get that big? You look like the Hulk.

  • Its Romanian because if you watch his other videos, he bends his knees much more

  • you're fat

  • @Sciencegek its called an offseason and i bet he still looks better than u Taun Trans a legend

  • @Sciencegek lol you shold see him when he cuts down for a show

  • that is def. not a romanian deadlift...

  • It looks like you're wearing wrestling shoes

  • not a romanian.. romanian is not bending the legs. Romanian is all lower back and they are very bad for you. Also your back will respond to romanian deadlifts with lower weight. Using 200+ unless a pro powerlifter is generally too much for romanian deadlifts.

  • @sh4dowz247 The Romanian deadlift variation places most of the emphasis on the hamstrings and lower back. This variation is better suited for higher reps and lighter weights then the conventional and sumo deadlifts. The legs are kept almost straight through the movement, with just a SLIGHT BEND IN THE KNEES TO TAKE STRESS OFF THE TENDONS.

On top of that, my personal best Deadlift in the USAPL RAW Division is 560 lbs. And I have about a 5 first place titels in Powerlifting.

  • @roughneckasian 345 for 10 on RDL at 194 and from a defecit.... beastly dude.

  • @sh4dowz247 i think your thinking of a ukrainian deadlift....a romanian its is ok to bend your legs slightly

  • You should have made more noise while doing this.

  • so aye i got a question, every time i squat i get bad ass crap after wards wen i mess with the big weight, how do u keep from catching them

  • damn, ignore the amount of weight, your grip is like steel!! How do u develop such strong forearm grip?

  • strong lift great job

  • why do you bounce the weights? isn't a deadlift supposed to be a lift, put it down all the way without bouncing, then lift again?

  • @kirrasc he aint "bouncing" the weight. id say hes more touching the weights in the floor to make sure he goes all the way up...thats what i think...

  • stop dropping the weights. someone from planet fitness might rape you!

  • i always thought a romanian had a lot stiffer leg type movement.... bit dissapointing this video.

  • great videos..whats your diet like bro?

  • @DRod79 alot of rice id say...

  • A powerlifter at my gym told me to bend the knees to a 90 degree angle, keeping the back straight, puffing the chest out and lifting with the legs and "humping" the bar when you start to go above knee height. I can lift a lot heavier using the technique you use in this video, in your experience though, what do you think gets better results?

  • @B4IFLY two different types of deadlifts there bro, that powerlifter was talking about the conventional deadlift, which in all truth helps you lift heavier than stiff-legged deadlift.

You just need your CNS to get used to incorporating your legs into the lift.

  • stop the camera when are recording...

  • I notice you bend your knees. Are you supposed to bend your knees at all? I have been keeping my knees completely straight and it seems to be hurting my back and I cannot go down as far.

  • @MrAlex2008 Off course, for a normal proper deaflift, you bend the knees. You bend them till 90 degrees and go up.

  • That is not a Romanian Deadlift.

    Not even close.

  • mean im doing them 2day at gym 4 sure

  • it might kill you some day dude

  • he always talking to much

  • @swyturis cause he's trying to give info....

  • what body fat where you here

  • big

  • Good, but I saw a video on how to do this and I think your arching your back to much, but everything else looks good. I'm no expert but thats just what I think :P

  • nice power tuan. ive enjoy watching all your videos i follow and use all your excercises in my gym.

  • i can romanian deadlift 585 raw and im only 13 not lying btw

  • @13andincrediblycut LMFAOOOOOOOO fuckin goof your full of fucking shit. Just the face that you said not lying by the way LMFAO i'm sure posting that comment made you feel real big and strong, 13 y.o dl 585...I wanna thank you kid, for giving me a good laugh today.

  • hey tuan,

great lifting. i was wondering if you take creatine and is it allowed for powerlifting events?

  • to bad it aint a Romanian Deadlift . its a Dimel deadlift..

  • @bulldog9899 I agree.

  • @amarone1956 The Dimel Deadlift by the late Matt Dimel is performed from the top or finish position of the deadlift in the following manner: From a moderate stance, with the feet spaced somewhat close together, a little less than shoulder width, lower the barbell to knee level or just slightly below the knees. When the bar reaches this position, quickly pull it back up without pausing, by thrusting the hips forward and pulling with the back. Here I am going full range, how is that the same?

  • one of your other videos you said you want to be ~10% BF in a power lifting meet ...why don't you cut down to like 5% ?

  • shut up and lift

  • @megadude664 how about go watch other videos and comments on their page. and with me blocking you, that should make it alot easier. take care

  • This one looks so legal.

  • After all that steroid, that's all you can do? Weak as piss, like all Asians.

  • @TemplarX2 funny that you sould say that because out off all the medals in the 2008 Olympics, Asians took home the most. So what other great insight do you have about Asians, or other Ethnicities for the matter. It is obvious you have alot to say about peoples races and ethnicities

  • do you take any supplements?

  • @wrangler0289 Supplement; can't you see the guy is on steroid!

  • not impressed

  • you have a great physique man. what would you say your training philosophy for bodybuilding purposes is? (powerbuilding, high volume, high frequency)

  • @R3ZA thank you for the support. bodybuilders do not have to be super stong for it is about how much bodyfat one can lose and the symmetry one has when stepping on stage. the stongest guy does not win in bodybuilding, its the guy who poses the best on stage. 80% of your results come from solid and consistant nutrition with it comes to bodybuilding. training is sec

  • What's the point shooting from the front, next time shoot from the side so we can see your hamstrings :)

  • @ildevilon got some vids from the side so go check them out. i got the same comments from others when i first shot this one

  • Awesome Job!!! Keep it up!!! Deadlifting is where it's at

  • @joshuaonly1 thanks for the support. its a tough movement, but the results are amazing

  • great form and video, how bout some video on your off season diet for mass, protien sources etc, keep up the excellent work , god bless

  • @ronyboy40 will get that going soon, just have not add the time

  • great form.

  • @shizzy74 still can improve, but thanks for the support

  • u show off to much...and yeah put some mass on ur forearms and then say something..., but nice video. How many KGs is that?

  • sweet ipod on the hat setup

  • You've got good strength, but I'm sure you know it's much harder if you don't hit the ground. It works the grip much better too when you have to slow near the end lowering it so it's just barely above ground.

  • i can barely hear you in all of your vids. you need to somehow talk louder.

  • its good to see u with no abs makes me feel better now haha. can you do this weight when your nearing contest shape?

  • would you suggest squating in wrestling shoes ?

  • @dgwear69 no. wrestling shoes are good for deadlift but dont squat in them

  • I've always preferred barefoot or with converse shoes, those are the best

  • cant hear ya bro

  • You look heavy and strong here. At this video you have much more body fat than ussual. Must have been your powerlifting season my guess is around 210 lbs. Keep up with the good work and posting the videos you are an inspiration to me! Kind regards from Croatia

  • ricecakes your an idiot. At that weight that Tuan's representing... I'd like to see you set it down gently without expending all your energy. Sick lift bro.

  • Doing great tran~ I don't think its annoying. Sides, its heavy and on its not like your mom was nagging for 1 hour. In fact i love this kinda shock waves in gym. :)

  • ur forearms are out o proportion with the rest of your arm.

not trying to be rude or anything, if ur power lifting you wont care anyway, but if u compete in bodybuilding you would.

i like the box u use to get more range, u don't see many people doing that, nice work.

  • yeah, I have been working on that. can never have big enough forearms or calves in my opinion. its tough though. I can rack pull up to 600 lbs, and do farm walks week in and week out. strenght is no problem, but to make them and my calves bigger, it is a pain. it will take time, but I will get them there with time, patients and lots of exercises

thanks for the comment and support

  • your work ethic, and positive attitude is inspiring.

    *subscribed*

  • can u please tell me the difference in ur romanian dl and a regular dl, i can't tell the differnce, to me this looks like a regular dl but on a stand. thanx

  • in the romanian deadlift he is not using his legs to help with his lift as he would with a regular deadlift where he stands up

  • RDL's are mostly hamstrings due to the fact that you're taking most of the knee action out of the lift.

  • @dm325 cool thanx brugh!!! i luv both deads

  • @iluvfatchx thanks for the support, will keep the vids coming

  • lol, annoying how he must smack that weight to the floor, strong though, offseason? xd

  • I could use the tires but they would give me a slight bounce on each rep, making it easier to get through the set.

Also, in a power lifting meet, the only thing that matters is if you can get the weight off the flood to the top finished position. There is NO contest on how slow one sets the weight back down. MEANING, spending TOO MUCH time on the eccentric part of the range of motion will deplete your ATP-PC power system and your glycogen will also deplete and lactic acid will build up

  • yea, sounds interesting, thanks for your great reply :) cheers m8 and keep it up :D

  • no prob. once one has a better understanding of the goal of the movement, then one can maximize ones performance and move one step closer to their goal. glad this information was helpful

  • once you have gain more knowlegde about what I am doing here, from understanding the different energy systems (ATP-PC, Glycolysis, and Beta-Oxidation) to the bio mechnics of the moverment, in this case, to improve the dead lift, and how to set up the proper training program, as I did not using tires because I am not worried about the noise its going to make, but more worried about the effectiveness of my training program, then one day u to will know what to look for besides what noise Im making

  • Tuan, I didn't mean that the ear plugs and hat had anything to do with the sound. which I realize was the distance from the mic. Rather, it detracts from seeing you and your presentation.

  • hey great lifting. i was wondering what the shoes are your wearing, i've been looking for that kind of shoe to train in i was just wondering what they were.

great lifts though one day i will have some hamstrings

  • Tuan I am impressed, You`r doing so great. I love all your vids. You are my number one !!

  • CANT HEAR!!!!!!!!!

  • Tuan, These vids are great, but sometimes as in this one it's hard to understand what you are saying. Why are you filming with ear plugs and a hat?

  • It's not the ear plugs or hat, it's the background noise and distance from the mic on the camera...

  • How long should I leave between sets?

  • I have a hard time believing he is 5'8" & under 200. I'm 5'8" & around 200-202 & this guy is bigger than me. I'm not as lean but not fat either. This guy looks more like 5'5"-5'6" if that's all he weighs. Anyways i'd like to hear his diet, esp. what he eats before & after training.

  • He indeed looks like more than 180-190lbs :) More like 200+ indeed, but in the end, it's not the weight that matters, it's the overall picture, and the overal picture's great!

  • romanian deadlift.....

  • great form, no matter ur still working your lower back, excellent

  • that's not a straight leg deadlift and it's not even a proper deadlift....it's called a "DEAD" lift for a reason...the weight should be deloaded fully on the ground before you lift...your cheating by bouncing it off the ground

  • i'm sure you do it the right way and you're a lot bigger than tuan. i bet you will post a video to show this.

  • that is NOT a stiff leg dead.

  • stiff legged lifts with bents knees>?

  • Comment removed

  • dude, this is dead lift.

  • thats not a stiff leg dead lift im not sure what that is haha

  • Good physique, man. Couldn't hear much of the advice being given.

  • you got some solid size-hoping to look like that in 2 years

  • he is hott!! nice body

  • Lookin thick there my man. Been puttin on some LBM?

  • Need to work on the quads, overall legs and abs

  • omg ur abs! gone!!

  • hey tuan, any tips for proper dead lift form?

  • stick ass out, head up, chest up, back arched

  • what he said

  • very good!!

  • Wow dude. This is a reponse to your other vid where you show your young self (cause you disabled comments).

That is awesome. You do have the natural look and people just dismiss your hard training by saying you do steroids because they're insecure.

I was a lot like you, when I was 10 I had a six pack and developed muscle extremely easy. Unfortunately I didn't really take much advantage of it. I started weight lifting at 16 and now, well I'm seventeen so, we'll see how it goes.

  • I'm not going to be doing much lifting right now cause I'm getting ready for a surgery, and I have to rest afterwards, but once I'm ready, I'll definitely be checking up on your vids. Please keep this up!

  • sorry to hear, but hope you have a speedy recovery. happy holidays

  • doff the hat---i love your face!!!

    thanks
