  • what is the work schedule like for a CRNA?

  • @choochiXluvzXMakeup

CRNAs are usually utilized in the hospital setting. There will be an on call, and night shifts. The hours may be longer but there are rules on the maximum time you can work in a hospital. 12 hour shifts, three days a week is a popular scheduling.

  • I'm in my first year of college and this is the profession I am choosing. Thanks Michele for your helpful information.

  • @lilman1067 Same here, I ultimatley would looove to become a CRNA but I would be happy reaching RN to be honest.

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this!(: helped a lot.

  • This helped me so much but also made me a little insecure! Haha thank you though. I'm very interested in the CRNA program!

  • I found this video informative and helpful. I am in the final month of my 2 year nursing degree. I will attend a school that has a 1 year bridge course from RN to BSN. Do you have any suggestions as to where work as a beginning nurse aspiring to become a CRNA. Most say to do MedSurg for the first 1-2 years. What are your thoughts on the process off preparing for CRNA school?

  • @BrendanIsCool All medical staff is required to wear a white lab coat when in the hospital. Michele.

  • @michelekunz but thou art nursing staff!

  • @michelekunz or scrubs...

  • @BrendanIsCool ..........Look at you. You're such a jealous little bitch.

  • @chrissline77 hard to be jealous when I'm the boss!

  • Thanks so much for uploading this video. I am a junior in high school and I have alway wanted to be a nurse. And this really help with which medical field nursing I want to be in. Thanks so much

  • @blue335335 Thank you so much for the kind comments. Joe and I are very happy to hear that you found the video helpful. Michele

  • Thank you so much for making this video! :)

  • Sorry, but this video is very vague and somewhat inaccurate, if you are really serious about this as a career look at a different source.

  • @dlelben Please let me know what is inaccurate in my video. If you have better information for my viewers, please share it with us. I'm always willing to listen and learn. Thanks, Michele.

  • @michelekunz Sorry for the brief reply. A couple things: Most schools do not consider PACU or ED as critical care. Each school has their own bias toward what experience they prefer, look at their website for more information. I don't know of anyone making $200/hour. The reality with pay is that you will likely start somewhere between 110-140K. I don't know of any program that takes summer breaks. If I were thinking about applying I would start with looking at the schools website. Hope this helps

  • @dlelben

    Thank you. Thats great information.

  • @dlelben Henderson University takes summer breaks...Most of them in my state take them.

  • hows opportunity for overtime?

  • Thank you so much for the info!

  • What do you like most about your career ? and also what do you like least about your career?

  • I'm going to be a nurse in the army and hopefully become a nurse anesthetist.

  • Thank you I really enjoyed your video
