I used to think a video game as a whole couldn't be beautiful. Maybe certain aspects of a game, such as a certain song from the soundtrack, or a specific moment in the storyline. But not a whole game.

Then I found Katawa Shoujo. Possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever encountered.

You know... it gave me a sense of... I dunno. That moral of 'everyone's fucked up in some way' and how real the characters felt... kinda make me feel that, no matter how screwed up things get, maybe I DO have a chance of this kind of love.

It won't be Lilly or Hanako, Emi or Rin, Shizune or Misha or Yuuko or... hopefully not Kenji. It will be someone as messed up as all of them and all of us, and maybe someone with a heart just as beautiful.
