Maria Chapman was actually ran over by her brother Will Franklin. He was coming home from a musical audition at school. She ran out to meet him and they didn't see each other in time. Will Franklin ran over Maria. She was air lifted to a hospital. The paramedics tried to save her on the way but couldn't. She was pronounced dead on arrival. It's really actually sad. Imagine having a little sister or brother and accidentally running over her and killing her. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Yeah, but his adopted daughter Maria ( the one that died ), was playing in the driveway of their house. Then Steven Curtis Chapman's biological son was backing out of the driveway. And of course he hit Maria. She died from her wounds.
