@Gurgle3000 if you mean the bit that's sticking out from under the record?... its a piece of thin clear plastic... usually the inner sleeves that records come in. if you cut them into 12inch circles (roughly in this case) and put them under your slipmats it gives you less drag oon the platter. i.e your records will move easier when you are scratching with them.
