I always enjoyed the scenes with Victor and Col. Douglas Austin. I miss that character on the show. He and Victor were amazingly close and it was good to see Victor having a very good friend in Douglas. I wish they would start putting the Y&R on dvd starting with season one It would be worth all the money to be able to get every season since the March 26th 1973 premiere of this iconic show.

Contestants at today's Miss Universe contests wear less in the swimsuit section than what Nikki still has on when she finishes this so-called 'strip'. Still, to be fair, look at Rita Hayworth in the 1940s movie 'Gilda' where in her cabaret-strip, the only thing she removes is one long black glove yet its still one of the sexiest acts ever. Sometimes, quality really does win over quantity.

If I recall correctly, this was one of the last performances Nikki did on screen, she did several before this one. And if I remember they were all pretty mild, usually just shedding a few layers until she was wearing a one-piece outfit or something. Have to remember this is daytime TV in 1980. A few youtube viewers have been asking about seeing the other strips but thats unlikely unless CBS decide to release them or some fanatical Y&R fan recorded them on video tape all those years ago.

@hill9868 No, she did strip after this. Nikki stripped until her portrayer Melody Thomas Scott was 5 months pregnant. It was only mid 81 when she did this, Nikki wasnt pregnant until 1982.

Melody Thomas Scott has always been so pretty & still is. This acting is so campy. Nikki doesn't really strip by today's standards (of course, this was daytime network TV, but it is even implied you've just seen the entire, uncencored show.) she tosses away all of her jewelry (how is that tantalizing?) And Douglas and Victor comment on her "talent," though the dancing is not good. Still love seeing this, though!
