This is great I have shared it on facebook and also to a few who need it personally, it's the simplicity that I love. People think life has to be hard, it is only as hard as you make it! Thank you for sharing x
Absolutely wonderful, and as we've experienced recently with our mainstream appearance, if you don't piss off a few naysayers, you're not really getting out there. Way to go my mirthful brother, way to go!
Piffle...I say to Alice....Dr. Seuss a racist and capitalist..hmm hokey dokey. I think it's a great light hearted way for us to look at ourselves, laugh at ourselves, and tell ourselves to slow down. We will accomplish much more if we are happy, well rested and taking care of ourselves, than if we drive ourselves into the ground. I work rescue everyday.I know who I am, but I have also been that person that overworked myself. Now that I know who I am, I can much more effective in what I do.
Dr. Seuss studied the psychology of advertising. He jumped on every band wagon there was to make a buck. Anyone could write that dribble and you just proved it. You want to find yourself? Go to an impoverished area of your town EVERYDA{Y til you get it. You don't find peace through self esteem. You find peace by serving others. The Lorax was propagnada to invoke guilt to sell books. We all want to save the environment but I seriously doubt that was Dr, Seuss intention.
I say this with all patience. You people need to seriously grow up. Dr. Seuss wrote books to make money. His field was advertising psycholoty. My parents refused to allow Dr, Seuss in our house. We read classics and award winners. I remember seeing Cat in the Hat at the Dr.'s Office. It upset me. The pictures were creepy and the colors offensive. My mom urged them to remove this trash from their book stand Why ? because Dr Seuss was a capitalist and a racist.
Dear Sir, this is wonderful! This poem must have come to you from a very deep place. When I started the video, I had no clue what it was all about, but when I heard the first two lines, it brought a grin on my face that lasted till the end of the video. Rarely have I seen a performance so powerful in this way. Your voice carried the power of your presence, and the crystal clear impact that you are a very nice 'being'. And goodness, you have a great memory too. Love you loads! Keep it up!
Having been raised on the good Dr., and sharing it with my daughter, it truly feels like this IS his enlightened self, sharing sage advice (as he always has) to the older me, with the same wit, gentleness, and wisdom.
I "received" this poem over a two month period in early 2010. It really did feel like I was "contacted" by Dr. Seuss. Please watch it till the end and have fun with it. If you don't watch it all the way through, and you're in chronic seriousness, you might reach for the Prozac. The purpose is to bring witnessing presence and levity to the neurotic ego so you can let go of identifying your sense of Self with your ego-mind. I'd love to know how it landed for you. I look forward to your comments.
simply awesome!!

This channelling of Dr. Seuss is provocative and wise, regardless of Ted Geisel's motives. I love it.

It's wondrous that we all can have opinions and share them here on You Tube.
