Hi Frankie,

wie solls denn sein? Cool, erwärmt, pathetisch, herzlich? Nicht einfach, zum hunderdsten Mal ein ganz bekanntes Lied zu singen und dabei nur sich selbst zu bringen. Ich glaube gar, dass das nicht möglich ist. Du spielst immer mit dem Lied und das, glaube ich, ist auch hier der Fall. Aber es lässt sich wohl nicht anders machen.

Two things surprised me about this video: One, that his English is so fluent and refined and two, that he's able to croon like that. I've heard his work on German-language pieces before, but never big band type stuff. Fine work as always, Mr. Quasthoff.

Winderful vocie , arranging and orchestration, but is there any way to regain the sound sync? It's such a beautifully shot, clear visual image and great sound, but to for the sound to be out of sync it's not perfect.

Jaja, der kanns, der Mann... singt quer durch die Bank. Auch sein Jazz ist wirklich super.

Am Besten gefällt mir von Ihm allerdings Op. 57 von Robert Schumann "Belsazar" Das reisst einfach mit!
