DCRV repair, Double Chambered Right Ventricle

Thanks for this very informative video, My toddler will soon have this done there at Miami Children's Hospital, I am very optimistic of the outcome from the repair of Her VSD, DCRV, and PS, the small but present PDA and ASD will not be repaired at this time I was told. But this has been very helpful for Me as Mom, Thank You.

You guys that do this are amazing. Our son had this exact procedure (VSD & DCRV) done 4 months ago at MUSC by Dr. Bradley. We were home in a four days and it doesn't even seem real now. Thank you for your videos as we watched them before and they helped us prepare for the surgery.

Thank you for having this video up. My daughter is having surgery for her DCRV at the end of the month. I am very glad to be able to see how the surgery is done, which gives me a little more peace of mind. It is still hard to think of my little girl going through this.

We use an iodine impregnated plastic shield for the skin to prevent infections.

I had this same surgery at 9 years old, repaired a small VSD and a RVOT obstruction. Applying to medical school next year, hope to follow in the footsteps of the pedi cardiologist and CV surgeon who fixed me. amazing videos. the heart is just amazing. I almost wept seeing the child go home on day 2.

wow this was very incredible to watch i had the same thing, only i started of with the Ventricle Septile Defect, then it progressed into the D.C.R.V i had open heart 2 years ago, i was 17.

Can I just say how incredibly happy I am to find this video? My daughter is going to have this very same repair (DCRV and VSD) in then next year or so, and I've been disheartened with how little info there is out there on the DCRV. Being able to see the procedure really helps take a lot of the fear out. Heck, my little girl even asks to watch it now. LOL Thank you!
