Where can you get an affordable jouhikko in America? I want to play it at some time but they are so unpopular that they don't even come up under Google shopping results :/
@Kizales You could try to make one. Check Simon's Chadwick jouhikko - two pine planks of pine (+ separate soundboard but you can skip it) you can buy in most of Home Depot-type stores. Michael J King makes them (jouhikkos, not pine planks) but he's from UK.
@Max0Inq I guess that's always an option lol. It may be very difficult since I have no experience of the instrument whatsoever, though. How much do the materials usually cost? :P
This is truly beautiful! Where did you learn how to make a jouhikko? I've been wanting to make one now, but can't seem to find any resources on it, sadly. That song is fantastic. Keep up the great work!
