i dont get why people are goin on about Nova Scotia music..not trying to start an argument..but this is a newfie song lol..but i guess the important thing is that people enjoy it..i grew up to this music
I don't get people that complain that cover songs are not exact replicas of the originals. When popular songs like these that are covered by 100's bands, you want to make it your own. If you don't like this version, walk to the pub next door and hear a different version. I like this version, it has an upbeat tempo that works well with a drunken crowd singing along. What's so wrong with that?
this is group is from the rock is where i'm from but they sound bomb i like there style of music which I'm am newfie and gawd darn of it Eh! By lets go out stor house n break the tops of the short necker's and get da drink on and break out the guitar's
we had to learn this song in music class in elementary school, I was the only one who already knew all the words! :) thanks to MacDonald family parties! :D
well i agree with bith red and billy ,,the lower deck rocks in the summer when signal hill is playin ,,but now i live in st.john's moved back home and i gotta say ...this is where it all started ..in my grandparents kitchens and all newfoundland and labrador kitchens back in the day ...god i love the east coast!!!
This makes me so homesick! For anyone planning to travel to Halifax (or for those who live there and have not yet experienced it), there is no place in the world like the Lower Deck on a Sunday night.
@Jopope123 What is Glace Bay Nova Scotia like? I have never been to Halifax or Nova Scotia for that matter and I was wondering.....................There was a woman I knew who was born there.
Do you know where the members of this band are from and why they call themselves Signal Hill?
@HoneySiegalSurvivor The band name comes from the famous Signal Hill, located in St. John's Newfoundland. Though I'm not certain, I would imagine the band members, or at least a couple of them are from Newfoundland.
I love these guys! Serisouly by far and away the most incredible talent to come from the east coast in a long time. Jason and the boys have an insane ability to nail 4 part harmonies and Campbells arrangments to their cover songs are better than teh originals in most cases.
I JUST WISH THEY PLAYED MORE ORIGINALS! Campbells originals are unreal!

I didn't think this was going to be any good...I actually kinda like it! I heard it slow and this works!

Speeding up the tempo does nothing for the song, no matter how good they supposedly are. its damn near a polka.
