If Brad Rutter had taken ill and ended up absent from "The IBM Challenge," I think that Bob Harris would definitely have been chosen to appear on the show in his stead. But I don't know how that guy would fare against WATSON...

my grandma and grandpa watch this when he was around winning and when he had about 25th Inna roll they just turned the TV off when jeopardy came on! lol they who was the winner.
I always thought Ken Jennings (on the day he finally lost) threw the game. Because, I mean, the answer was SO easy. Think he got it wrong on purpose just because they wanted him off the show.
John Carpenter is'nt even in their league. howabout Brad Rutter (Biggest J! winner ever!) or Dr Olmstead from WWTBAM or even Thom Mckee from Tic Tac Dough! Carpenter was more of a good game runner a la PYL's Mike Larsen.
They should run a 2 min commercial in the beginning and another one in the middle for like 5 min.

I remember when after 5 wins, you win a car. He might have been the Ken Jennings of Jeopardy before Ken Jennings!
