We need another James Connolly, a man of honour who died for the freedom of Ireland. Us Irish will never forget what you did to our leaders of 1916. No G.F.A. Agreements or devolution of Policing will ever change that. You have your filthy hands stuck in everything and you are paying the consequences in the Middle East every day. At some point can you not just fuck off.
Connolly was a true Irish great, of Scottish upbringing, like the other great footballing socialist - Bill Shankly. Where are our heroes today. Thatchers fucked-up Britain where only the greediest are put on pedestals.
The Stranglers 'No More Heroes' should be done as an Irish rebel song - words changed of course. TARA Scouse.
Connollys the only real Irish hero, Dev was a bastard who killed Collins, and whilst i respect Collins, he did crumble under bullying from Llyod George and Curchill.
Connolly stayed true to his cause, whether it was socialism or irish nationalism.
Ridiculous statement about both Dev and Collins, they were both (while being opposed in the argument over the treaty) very influential in the formation of the Republic.
I cry when i hear these songs of our heroes. Freedom. That's all they wanted. We will never be truly free until we unite against what is being done to our brothers up north. Catholic oppression is disgusting and evil. What have they done wrong? Nothing. You can hate the IRA but what about the innocent victims just trying to live their lives?
too many prots in Northern Ireland for it to be part of Eire thats the problem with their Orange and religious views Eire would be brought down to their level which is a shame but these orange people do not wont to change so I say stay where you are our country is peaceful and beautiful lets keep it that way!! For our Brothers in NI Let sinn feinn have a political fight see the orange men squirm and faid away!! Hail Hail!!!!!
I am named and related to this great man what a legend and it is so good to see that he is so respected to this day
its just a shame that the struggle still continues to this very day and think that we as a nation can not be one with out violence and that there will always be the presence of the past
Note: I haven't got very good grammar so i hope that I said it I a way that people will under stand
PM if any one wants to talk about Ireland's history I want to learn as much as I can

"but these orange people do not wont to change"
To me, as a republican, and i am welcome to constructive criticism on this point.
Does this not mean that we are moving 2 steps back and one step forward?
