Exactly. I mean I like Tom as a person, but ESPNU is NOT very reliable. Rivals is the most accurate recruiting site. BTW man, I recall Kyle Rudolph being the #1TE on RIVALS (he was also a 5*), when he was ranked #131 (around there) on ESPNU.

Plus, unless I missed him, I didn't see IMO future ND committ Anthony Barr on the ESPNU 150 watchlist either.

With us returning our entire 4 d lineman next year, and with 2 vacant LB spots (assuming Te'o goes on his mission, and if he doesn't...he'd move to inside LB), do you see him potentially starting as a Freshman? I know he'll play A LOT, but do you think he could start? If so, where? thanks!

Probably lineman. It would seem to me that with lb's, quite a bit of experience is needed to be effective. That can only come with playing time. Imo you need not as much experience to be a DE and he seems capable now of helping out in that regard immediately.

Kid do a little research. Toryan Smith is going to start at middle linebacker, he's a senior. Te'o, a freshman, will MOST LIKELY start at 1 OLB spot (he's 95% likely to leave on a religious mission after this year). That's 2 starting LB spots needed to be replaced. Also, Scott Smith will get a decent amount of playing time, and he's a senior. However, Steve Filer (2nd on depth chart at MLB) will play A LOT, Darius Flemming will play A LOT (split time w/ Te'o at OLB).

Actually Crazie...you need to do some research. Watch a couple interviews or read some transcripts. Charlie Weis has said that TEO will play middle backer. So there is no way TEO and Smith will start at Middle backer. Also even if Teo played out side, Toryan Smith will not start. I repeat. Toryan Smith will not start. The linebackers will be Brian Smith, Darius Flemming, Teo/Steve Filer. You will only see Toryan Smith play on "heavy Packages".

Yes McNeil is good but I think Blanton will get the nod. Both will play alot. The rest of the line up is pretty much right on. Dont forget Sergio Brown!

What does Toryan Smith being a senior have to do with anything? The best players plays! Just because he's a senior doesn't guarantee him a starting spot. From what I read, Te'o came to school ripped with 20lb more of muscle mass..

I think Te'o is going to compete and land a starting LB spot..
