  • Cheers for this video!

I'm stuck on whether to get the Dazzle DVD Recorder or Dazzle Video Creator?? For gaming & converting VHS to DVD so need both. But mostly gaming.

  • Thanks

  • @NastGofter No, mine does that too.

  • @Flint2007 so i guess we have to deal with it, well its only a bit darker

  • Here's me

Movie Maker: Yeah that's ok. I can do that.

Pinnacle 12: THAT'S A PICASSO! I'M BUYING THIS RIGHT NOW!!!!

  • EVERYONE...

If you buy splitters (recommended) always use 2 female and 1 male end, as you put both AV cables (wii and tv) into th female ends en then the splitters into the dazzle...or splitters into tv and av cables (no the wii ones) into the dazzle

  • can the black dazzle work with regular av cords, instead of HD?

  • thanks for the video! i think i found one with the pinnacle 12 for $44 instead of $90 at the B&H website.

  • tnks alot very helpful video got my thumbs up and a subscribe

  • Thanks alot! this video is very helpful. i have one question: would I be able to get away with buying the cheapest Dazzle (the green box one, Dazzle DVD Recorder) and using Nero Vision 10 to capture? There IS a capture option, and I usually like using Nero when making DVDs from clips. What do you think? Is there any MAJOR advantage to having the Pinnacle Studio 12 software?

    Thanks alot,

    Craig

  • @Babelfish112 Well if it captures in good quality then you are all set.

  • Great instructions. =D

This vid is certainly great help for Dazzle users.

  • How about Dazzle DVD Recorder Plus and Dazzle Video Creator Platinum. What's the difference?

  • with just a dazzle, how do you hook it up to the wii?

  • @prestonz2good4u You plug the A/V cables of the wii into the Dazzle.

  • @Flint2007 i think im going to have to return it because my wii is no where near my computer

  • Are there different Y-adapters?

Or are they all the same?

  • @bakku236 There are different brands for the Y adaptars, but they should all do the same thing.

  • What about the XBox 360?

    Or PS2?

    Will it work correctly?

Because with an other Audio and Video grabber can only capture in black and white.

And on The PS2 theres only a wierd noise.

Will there be the same problems with this?

  • @bakku236 This setup should work for all systems. It worked for my Dreamcast, Wii, Xbox 360, and any other system that has the colored cables.

  • @Flint2007

    Ok thanks.

    You´re awesome. :3

  • @Flint2007 hey i was wondering if a dazzle would work on a basic netbook laptop?

If it did would it be as good as using it on a normal laptop? please reply asap as i need to know if il get it for christmas or not. Thanks

  • @ScottOlearyy I assuming it should work, I don't know.

  • does this work with windows 7?

  • Everyone, click on my channel to see how to set up any dazzle dvd recorder easily on an HDTV with NO EXTRA WIRES!

  • sorry it was digital video creater. My bad I remembered rong. Do you know if I can still use this?

  • @ZeldaWolf2000 It depends on what programs you have already that is compatible to the Dazzle. Although, it's best to get Pinnacle Studio 12 or 14. (HD version)

  • thanks for the help ;D btw I've got a question. My mom's camera came with a dazzle that was black, but the camera was old so I'm assuming it's not the other version of dvd dazzle. Do you think I could still use it and save myself $50? Please answer I'd really love to know. At least befor christmas. Thanks again :D

  • How long is the USB cable? Only my PC and PS3 are in 2 different rooms. If it's short, can you use any USB cable?

  • @13swineflu It's not too long, probably about 4-5 feet long.

  • Do you think this works alright for making a highlight video from a Hollywood DVD movie?

  • @FoodCubes Yeah, Dazzles work with DVD players.

  • Is this the dazzle DVD recorder or the dazzle video creator?

  • @SuperNovaPS3 The title of this video and the video itself has the answer.

  • @Flint2007 Is It Possible To Add Commentary? Like so y can talk and the can hear u?

  • @wasterenon92508 You can add a microphone in the settings option. That way it records the footage and your voice at the same time.

  • It does not work on Vista

  • @sparsons75 What doesn't work?

  • @Flint2007 it goes black when you press Record

  • @sparsons75 If your capture preview option is turned off, it will do that.

  • Do the Y-Splitters have an coloring at the end of it? Mines doesn't its just plain silver, and I see online pictures that some have filling color like white, & red.

  • @barriodeloco1 Mine have a "Brown" color in them, but they still work with all the colored cables.

  • @Flint2007: Oo... Thx's. If I was to go to Best Buy to buy it how would I ask for it like what section would it be in Tv, Games, ??

  • @barriodeloco1 It would be in the TV section.

  • @Flint2007: Alright thx's is cause I went today, but they gave me something of Ysplitters for Headphones or something.

  • You only say "You will need SOME A/V Cables like these(about %5-10 depending on Length". If my Wii is close there's no need to get long ones Right?

  • @barriodeloco1 You will only need 1 pair. You can also just connect your system directly to the dazzle, but you would only be able to see the content on your Computer. The extra AV cables and Splitters, help you see it on your TV and Computer.

  • @Flint2007: Thanks a-lot bro I'm deff subscribing now.

  • @Flint2007: Question, I already Sub. But how will that look meaning my Computer will be the Tv? while playing I caan't use the computer becaus it will be recording?

Can u make a Video on that I know is simple, but I would like to see how it is.

  • @barriodeloco1 You will be using both the computer and TV. With the cables you will still be able to view on your TV while you record the footage on your computer.

  • @Flint2007: No I mean like connecting it straight from the Wii to the Dazzle with no Cables only the wiis. No splinters.

  • @barriodeloco1 Oh, then there would be a preview window for you to use if you get Pinnacle Studio 12. You will see what's being recorded from there, but there is like a 1 second delay.

  • @Flint2007: I'm not getting the Pinacle Studio 12 I'm getting the $50 which u said is hard to manage. I know ur prob already tired of me, and about to block me, Its kool I really have been annoying you have all the right to do it.

  • @barriodeloco1 No, no, you are not annoying. I am just helping you.

By the way, the White Dazzles now come with Pinnacle Studio and the price is about the same, which is $50. So you should be good to go.

  • @Flint2007: Aw... Man thx's bro, and Please reply to the Comment before this =).

  • @barriodeloco1 I did, about the "connecting the system straight to the dazzle"?

  • @Flint2007: So I won't need the AV Cables if I connect the Wii straight to the Dazzle without Splinters? Nd Cool didn't know.

  • @barriodeloco1 No, you would just use the Wii AV cables and connect that straight to the dazzle.

  • @Flint2007: Enough said thanks so much man your getting featured on my Channel.

  • @Flint2007: Cool thx's I just got Dazzle today, and it brong Pinacle Studio 12 that's all i will need right the Screen of what's going on should open up after installing PS12?

  • @Flint2007: Can I use the Wii grey cables that come with the Wii or do I need new Special ones ?

  • @Flint2007: I connected it, and nothing Happened no Window came up or nothing?? What happened?

  • @Flint2007: Sorry I already got it, but how can I edit it if the File a VOB, and theirs a whole bunch of files I'm using Pinacle Instand Recorder?

  • @barriodeloco1 Sorry, you are asking too many questions in jumbled up sentences, it's hard to tell what you asking. Can you repeat it in a clear sentence where I can understand what you are asking? Thanks.

  • @Flint2007: Well the only Problem is that the Quality is discusting, and I don't know how to get better Quality that's Clear like yours.

  • @barriodeloco1 You have to check your settings. Youtube serach this:

    "dazzle best quality settings"

and you should get some good tutorials for higher quality. Experiment because I don't know what kind of computer you have and how it performs.

  • @Flint2007: Cool thx's bro.

  • @barriodeloco1: Its cool bro, I got everything correct now, Check my Video please the new one =).

  • When it says AV Cables, How many do I need only 1pair or 2pairs?

  • Hey it looks good. But i dont have much AV slots in the back of my TV Screen. Only a scart and just one for the Wii

  • how much sapce is all the software

  • Nice, Thank You, You Helped Me A Lot I Subscribed. I Hope It´ll Help You! Bye!

  • oooh so the splitters are very very cheap?! that's awesome then. if gamers look at it this way, a video game these days usually cost more than $50. ps3 games cost more than $60 if you include the tax. overall this is much cheaper if not around the same price as buying a video game. :3

  • @MrAirgunlover I'm not sure.

  • @Flint2007 yo can u plug ur xbox cable to the dazzle instead of buying a A/V cable 5$?

  • @ImDeathNote Yes, you would just have to use your computer screen as the "TV".

  • @ImDeathNote theres 6 cables on a xbox 360 so 3 for the tv and 3 for the dazzle and the usb for the computer

  • Connect Dazzle to game console.

And I cant see the screen on the TV?! ONLY PC?! Thats not good!

  • @Etkar2008 no, you see on both, except the picture (or video) from the TV appears on your Computer as well.

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeet dude awesome vid ima run to bestbuy to see if i can get the pinacle studio 12 thing you said thanks alot :)

  • can dazzle records in HD too? if so i want it

  • No, they can't, but the quality isn't too bad.

  • @Flint2007 uhhh i can just download 12 for free now but thx anyway

  • @awesomeness4441 I don't recommend stealing, but do what you want.

  • @Flint2007 lol k

  • @Flint2007 lol jk

  • @awesomeness4441 whaa where can you download it free?

  • Sooo...i just get the cables to record?! oook thx

  • please anser back, do i need a camera/camcorder to record what the dazzle is showing?

  • The Dazzle IS the "camera".

  • does the Pinnacle Systems - Dazzle DVD Recorder record video games and it does not come with splitters and stuff? plz answer back

  • @Sasakiclan93 It only comes with the Dazzle itself and the software. Everything else is separate.

  • where do i get the rest @ becuz i can't find them

  • @Sasakiclan93 The cords and splitters can be found in places like Wal-Mart in the electronics section.

  • wat r they actually called tho?

  • @Sasakiclan93 You are just going to have to find what you see it in this video.

  • ok then thanksi will get back to u

  • I got the "DYNEX" splitters and it only has white and red wire outlets, do l need to get the philips brand?

  • @Zoo2be411 It best to get the philips brand or something similar (without any colors on them)

  • ok i did all of that stuff im using the black dazzle the problem is that it keep saying that there is an error buts nothing wrong with it should i reset my computer, return dazzle, return whole thing,or just return the disc?

  • @ness361876 What kind of error?

  • i dont really know it just keep saying its an error when i try to install studio 12

  • @ness361876 I can't help you then.

  • wait im using windows vista so can you help me because i dont know how to record

  • @ness361876 If I don't know what the exact error is then I can't help you.

  • i fixed error i just need to know how to record on windows vista

  • @ness361876 You go to "capture", select your device in the options and record from there.

  • my cords cant connect to the computer to my downstairs tv. do i need more of the av cords or something to make it reach or what what do u think?

  • You should probably move the computer or tv next to each other.

  • my parents dont want that.....

  • Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!

I can finally start uploading high quality vids again!

  • Thanks for this video! I've been having a lot of problems with my Pinnacle Studios capture card thing. It would capture video just fine, but it records NO audio! I'm thinking about getting a Dazzle DVD Recorder a lot more now than I used to. =P

  • Will this work on Windows 7?

  • @TheBarbzArcade I don't know.

  • If you mean pinnacle studio I think there would most likely be some sort of an update to make it run on windows 7, as well as a driver for the dazzle.

  • Don't call me a noob, on the back of my television, there is one white plug spot and one red plug spot. Will the Dazzle work for me?

  • Doesn't this split quality? I have the same setup as you and it splits my TV's quality and makes it way too dark and difficult to play

  • @NSNewcomerAK No.

  • @Flint2007 Your screen doesn't get less brighter when you use the Y splitters? Mine does. I don't know why.

  • @NSNewcomerAK No, it doesn't.

  • @Flint2007 another question, I have a normal TV in my room, is that why my quality is being split? i know you have an HDTV because you used to record off your HDTV before you had your dazzle so I'm just wondering.

  • @NSNewcomerAK I don't use that same HDTV anymore, because it broke back in June 09. I then switched to my 15 year old SDTV and the quality was fine. Then I received another HDTV and the quality was still fine.

  • @Flint2007 thats weird, because i use the same exact setup as you do, but my screen turns very dark compared when my capture card isn't set up, and I don't know why.

  • Question... I have heard around that if you have output on your TV you can only plug A/V Cables there and in the Dazzle then launch Pinnacle Studio and it will work fine, is this true or I am mistaken or something or is this info. fake?

  • @BassDSXX I haven't tried it because I don't have a TV with an Output A/V port, but I have seen some videos of it working. So yes, it does work.

  • Where could I find a Dazzle?

  • @Awesomegame17 In stores like Best Buy. Thanks for posting this, I forgot to post locations in the video.

  • It's actually the same setup as my capture device surprisingly. Just mine doesn't the USB output. Just an input.

  • I have the same situation as SockHead... is there a way to download an older version of WMM for Vista?

  • @JRefleX93 Why yes there is, just go onto Google and type in Windows Maker 2.0 download and there it is. But, be warned, that version is glitchy. 2.1 is better but I am not sure of any sites other than Microsoft's that lets you download it.

  • Ok, thanks.

I also have VirtualDub, so I'll try that out as well.

  • Can you put in an annotation that recording Dazzle on Vista WMM does not work. The DVC100 does not show up for me on WMM, but it does on my XP Computer. Great video BTW.

  • @SockHeadx4 Yeah, that's why I mentioned Windows Movie Maker 2.0/2.1, but yeah, I will put in Vista, because, indeed, it doesn't work for Window Movie Maker 6.0.

  • those y cords what do they do?

and ill need more help from you maybe

and thank you i NEEDED this

  • @wifibrawler3501 They help so you can still play on your TV and record on your PC at the same time.

  • i know that its just my cords cant reach from the computer to the tv..

  • Thanks for the tutorial :D But you pretty much explained everything to me so yeah. But i did like the video :D

  • And you had to include that at the end am i right? :P

  • i will not ignore it

  • i know what im getting for christmas

  • it is very helpful thanks. now i can do my gameplay. X3

  • Very usefull guide flint! but i think 50$ is too much for my cost! XD

  • It's only around the price of a new game, the cost for this result is VERY cheap, considering most of the alternatives are far more expensive :/

  • @darkmetroidomega Agreed. This is the cheapest you can go. I have no complaints about it.
