Carl Jung noted that psychotherapy and talking about your mental problems in general tends to exacerbate your problems by putting the focus on the issue. Sometimes I don't even think that the past affects much. I've had many traumatic experiences but I always come out of it unaffected in the long-term. It all rolls off my back mostly because I don't feel the need to go back and examine them and put significance in them.

i agree with this. my car accident trauma was triggered by a relationship i was in at the time. however, i still managed to get over it since i was determined to not let it get the best of me. also, my traumas from what i was told were shamanic initations. i actually was attacked by a "light being" and had to do an exorcism on my dad, which worked.
