  • @martin03555569

Dasar malayshitt! I can see your jealousy.

  • Aburizal Bakrie connected with Lapindo Is a criminal. But the Indonesian legal political system is corrupt.

  • Well at least they don't have to pay their gas bill :)

Besides my bit of humour it's a disgrace, so obvious the drilling caused it just like Gulf of Mexico...fk corps!

  • You know what they awoke in the darkness of Khazad-dum...

  • When i was growing up back in the 70's, this shit never happened. Corporate assholes ruining the world for money.

  • That fucking lapindo company should be held responsible for this manmade disaster! They refused to accept the fact that this was becouse of their fault, for fear that they may went bankrupt for compensating those villager! Screw those people whoever owns this damned company!

  • Stunning human or natural disaster. This hasn't been reported whatsoever until now in Japan.

  • They have to be patient.....silly woman.....why doesnt she LIVE THERE! Im getting fed up with this ! The poor always suffer!

  • The whole damed batch of islands kown as Indoneasia is nothing but a volcano hotbed. If you are so worried then get on your bikes and stay in the 19th century. IT happens !

  • indonesia is the 2nd most corrupt country in the world, behinf afghanstan

  • muddy funksters

  • thanks for putting this up, ive been wondering what happened here. australia stopped reporting on this some years ago

  • what are the geological reasons for the mud flow? Can it be stopped? What harm will it do if not stopped and why are those folks still in a danger area? Insanity of humanity and the vultures who see only profit. Fair report.

  • @QuantumQuacks No court can force a corporation or person to pay compensation for damages they just ruled were blameless for. Well they could, but the decision would be overthrown on appeal. Fines and damages are often paid in exchange for innocence or being investigated further which may reveal skeletons they want to keep in the closet. Give me one example where an individual has been found 100% innocent of a crime yet was still forced to pay compensation for damages from it.

  • @theslimeylimey

Actually this happened in my home country (Norway that is) a few years ago. A guy killed his cousin, was not found guilty, but had to pay her family a compensation of some kind. Ridiculous, but it proves that these things also happen in somewhat democratic and free countries. Though, I have to say that Indonesia is one of the most screwed up and corrupt places on earth.

  • @CoolerTh4nU wow, that's bizarre. How did it not get overturned?

  • @YourProfessor

    I found this on Wikipedia:

The Birgitte-case 1995: The murder of Birgitte Tengs sparked a huge investigation. The following year a cousin was arrested and charged. He was later cleared for the murder but was later sued in civil court and found liable for the unlawful death of Birgitte Tengs. This decision was later reversed by the European Court of Human Rights, and the Norwegian courts were convicted for human rights violations.

  • @CoolerTh4nU Ah, so the decision to make him pay was overturned, if only by the EU. Interesting.

  • @YourProfessor

Nope. The Norwegian court gave him a 14 year inprisonment for the murder, and he had to pay his coursin's parents 12-13.00 euros. But after less than two years in prison he was released. The European Court of Human Rights later stated he had the right of a compensation. In Norwegian he also got money for the mistakes done by the court. Pretty complex and pretty strange. I have met a journalist with knowledge to this, and he said he is sure Birgitte was killed by her cousin,

  • @CoolerTh4nU Ah, I see. I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with the Norwegian legal system, so I was basically using what I knew about my own. This is especially complicated by the involvement of the EU.

  • I love how biased the reporting is :)

  • Well, Goddamn you, Lapindo.

  • This is amazing.

  • This is really sad! I've often been to Indonesia and I love that country, where my mother comes from. But when do the indonesian politicans finally wake up and realise, that they're ruining thei own future. And the future of their children?!

There's enogh help from other countries, but nothig's going to make the circumstances in Indonesia better, as long the corruption rules the law in this country!

  • money is king, everywhere in the world. What a Shame.

  • Everyday in the newspapers, I always see articles talking about natural disasters happening in our neighbouring countries and I realize how fortunate it is that I am where I am. I truely feel sorry for those people, who had lost their homes and loved ones ..

Sympathies from Malaysia, and I hope those people get to rebuild their homes and their lives.

  • @Graymoths I tell why it is happening too often in those countries. what do you expect foreign corporations are drilling large holes damn near everywhere. they take what's underneath then fill the hole again. of course the soil will not be as solid as it was. they steal and they kill in the process and even after.

  • @cannoir Well in Malaysia we have that problem too, but you don't see much of it happening to us? I think it has something to do with the whole geography. Some countries are just more prone to those sort of disasters.

  • If the company is not at fault, as they claim, why are the making settlements with the victims? They are publicly lying about their fault, while quietly trying to get the victims to shut up. Reminds me of BP and their Gulf Coast disaster.

  • The Indonesian government needs to help those people relocate and fast. That natural gas bubbling up is another disaster waiting to happen.

  • man I'm sorry but what a horrible place to live...all that mud and methane gas pumping up looks really bad

  • Hmmm...interesting flash of the Lipindo's Vice Pres's gold bangles and flashy ring around 5:37.

  • The cost of playing with mother nature can have a high price to pay.

It seems that mother nature and big business have so much in common for the powers that be are totally within their hands to do as they wish.

The advancement of this society are having to pay a heavy price for their so called prosperity.

The dollar appears to dictate the welfare of all concerned, what a fucking nightmare situation we are getting ourselves into.

My heart goes out to those local inhabitants.

    Sincerely

    John ( UK )

  • How devastating. No responsibility is being taken.

Its also sad how people have already forgotten about this situation, they are still very in need of help.

Pokemona are children in indunesia ? :D

  • THE MOST corrupt country on earth gets away with another disaster. Specially that evil woman with her evil smile...she gets away with murder!!!

  • Funny how banks/corporations are often found faultless by "law" yet are still willing to pay large fines/compensation for damage they had nothing to do with. That is soooo "nice" of them to help out like that don't you think?

  • @theslimeylimey WORD!!!! :D

    Wait a minute...

Holy crap...is that a backhoe strapped to a floating barge @ 8:25 using it's shovel to "row" along the mud pool floor?

  • @elund9 Ha! you're right. It's the eco-disaster version of a Venetian boat.

  • @theslimeylimey what you wrote speak volumes. And it hits home too.

  • @SSgtParmer ...what are you trying to imply?

  • drilling for gas...now suddenly theres gas bubbling out from the ground and forcing mud up, isnt it easy to connect the dots here?

  • This just proves that the government is currupted just like ours is and our scientists and geolists are also paid to say what they are told. I don't for one second believe that this was not man created.

  • This is an instance where I'd like to see capital punishment enforced en masse.

  • Does this sound familiar ? Like the gulf spill. Sit down and shut up. we will tell you what the truth is.

  • If you cant unpredict it, don't drill it in the first place.

  • they should find a way to harness all this excess gas and profit from it to compensate and fund the displaced villagers

  • @pundit116 i second that

  • sad

  • it was a lawsuit and they lost it in court. they should have those CEO live in that mud crap.

  • I hope the vice president crumbles under the weight of her guilt and hypocrisy

  • If the villagers were a bit more resourceful, they'd tap that free gas and ship it.

  • Mud Volcano Expert FTW

  • Sure looks like gas coming up to me....

  • oh yea, that is drilling, and the earth plates are shifting, causing the methane gas, it is happening globally.

  • Seriously, does anyone still think that these fuckwits ought to be allowed to manage their own resources? Hahahaha goddamn.

  • Government geologist..

    Instant distrust.

  • @CheeezMaster randy marsh couldve done a better job

  • well the owner of Lapindo is the one who supports Indonesia's President.. so we can't touch Lapindo at all.. so who gonna stand up against the no.1 ?! noone dare.. and yeah it is a natural disaster now.. but yeah it is common in human's history that the one which rich and powerful control everything.. and i really mean it.. EVERYTHING !!

  • What do you mean, "in Indonesia?" Justice sides with the rich and powerful everywhere!

  • @MisterEvil1 ... you're SO RIGHT , people just have to read history -

the rich & powerful are always above the law !! Everywhere all over the world.

  • THE FUCKING AUDACITY OF THAT WOMAN!
