Great playing on a fine instrument. I decided to go with the 210ce because of my need for a deeper base, but the 214ce holds its own very nicely! Thanks for the great demo.
If its an acoustic electric, absolutly! Just make sure you don't use distortion (or keep it really low), it causes some weird super loud reverb (it'll probably ruin your amp).
would buying the taylor 114 ce or the taylor 214 ce be a btter deal? the 214 is 999 and the 114 i 850, but the 214 comes with a hard case. what would be a better buy?
@realblonde4ever I prefer the sound of the rosewood on the 214, which I own and love, over the sapele of the 114. The important thing to remember is to buy whichever sounds better to you.
Nice job...and nice Taylor!!

Sweet playing going on there my good man, and a fine guitar that is.
Also, running accoustics through a distortion box can be fun.... Listen to Frank Turner or J. Masics.

@Earnhardt12345 Where the hell did you find a 214ce for $799?

@EnvyInc Jim's Music in Tustin, CA.. That is why I jumped on it. Brand new in the box, never opened. He opened it for me after I bought it.

I bought the 214 with the hardshell case. Seemed like a better deal... plus it had the ebony fretboard vs rosewood.

Purchased at Guitar Center. I have owned it for two years now and have no complaints at all..

hey how good is the action on this?
anthonyyyanthonyyy 2 years ago
Like most new guitars the action was set a little on the high side which is fine for strumming. I lowered the saddle for easier fingerpicking.

Guitar Center. I also used the 15% off coupon that is floating around. Total price out the door was right around $900 after tax.
