I just bought the same saw at Sears. Its very powerful, didnt think it would cut better than my gas one, and its quite and can use in the basement in winter.
i've been caving for 13 years and even done some classes. i say carve in what you comfortable in. i've chainsaw carved with and without fancy protection. while safety is important especially for beginners. the more you carve the more you'll find what your comfort level is. personally i almost cut my foot off trying to carve with chaps and googles. cuz i could'nt see what i was doing. really nice tiki tho
very cool thx

Can you make a video after amputating your leg?
No personal protective equipment at all, why did you even post this?

When do you show us the step by step?
I dig the tikis but the video of stills wasn't real informative or instructional.

@MrCarverman Would it really matter if you wore shoes or steel toe, if a chainsaw hits your foot either way goodbye foot...

Looks like the green monster from the old japanese War of the Gargantuas movie!!!!

my daughter has a comment: COOOL!
as far as my comment: traditional japanese woodworking uses feet to hold tthe wood while sawing, etc. You're not too far off from that.
but earplugs would help tho. 8)
