  • music and love has no barriers , people who are lost in love need to be worried abt.

  • Hariharan or Shankar Mahadevan knowing Tamil well is an icing on the cake. Whenever I listen to both of them, I used to wonder why not other North singers like Udit, Sukhwinder, Sonu, Shreya or Asha Bhonsle learn Tamil and sing. It'll be a treat to listen to them in correct pronunciations.

The name of the movie is Bombay

  • Name of the film : Bombay

    Music : A R Rahman

Bombay dreams is another album by A R Rahman

  • superb song n nice lyric.........

  • The Genius at his best doing melody-raga song. I like the way he uses the flute to sympathize with the grieving lovers. Using a calm-sounding soft-base to ease the pain in longing. This is one of A. R.'s originals, songs like these brings his own style: Using classical Indian instruments in a Western style very-well orchestrated melodies.

The ONE and ONLY>>> A.R. Rahman

  • juz excellent...can feel the pain in his voice and in his words...

  • this guy is stupid. he cut himself for a women!

  • Lol...is this the first time you've watched a bollywood film? I mean a film of the 90's?

  • i love all differernt songs.........this is truely different and refreshing. I wish i could type your language to return the gratitude. You have a wonderful voice.

    regards

    Beth

  • lol i really shoulda read some of the comments b4 posting but still beautiful:)

  • what a beautiful song, i wish i knew what he was saying im sure the words r great when he sings with such feeling:)

  • SUBJECTIVE.

  • What ever happened to Manisha Koirala. She was doing so well in the 90's and now she is virtually none existant, doing low budget movies?

  • Well the age of a bollywood leading actress is quite short... most of them don't last for more than a decade

  • whereas the male actors, well into thier 30's or 40's can romance young lasses haha the irony.

  • im hindi but i love this!!!!

  • The song is there in Hindi too - Tu Hi Re! Its just as good!! A R Rahman is incredible!!

  • It's better actually

  • parlezz...

    whats your point.

  • excellent..........

  • I am a sri lankan although i dont know tamil i enejoy this great music and it touches my heart every time i hear it. music is universal

  • I am a Sri Lankan too. You are 100% correct.

  • i am south indian tamil but i have to say tamil is so melodious and i ain't gonna say every language sounds nice cos thts b/s

  • Even Hindi sounds melodious to me... compared to English. Unfortunately thats my language.

  • @razelberry19 Its tamil (another major language in India)..not hindi

  • @pran93 I know that now... but I think I knew it back then too.... I believe I as commenting on a conversation other people were having about Tamil versus Hindi and which one sounds better. But it was awhile ago so I can't remember very well. Either way I know a bit more about India then I did then. :)

  • @razelberry19 oops...Guess you're Indian then..sorry about that..

  • you retarded racist. how could you bring race and religion into music. i like music no matter what language it is in. people like you cause animosity.

  • It need not be viewed as a racist comment. I agree that music has no barriers; however, lyrics - and the intensity of the lyrics and the depth of the meaning conveyed - varies among languages. This is sadly true even to songs that are directly translated from one language to another. Being equally fluent in Tamil and Hindi, I have seen this occur in so many songs of films that were re-made in Hindi.

  • I totally agree with you. I am a Tamilian and i find that the intensity of the lyric seriously suffers when it is translated.

  • Nicely done :)

  • AR Rehman Sir, Music always sound awesome, no matter which language it is.

    Headsoff Sir,

  • I dont think they were meaning to sound racist hun.x

  • ur the wank afgun n nt him!!!u suk!!

  • if u don hav dis song in ur language thn ur unlucky mr.afgun90...ur the wank nt him...suk!!!!!!!!

  • afgan90 you damm gandu, gandu gandu..he is a genius maistro you idiot wht you know about music,,

  • It's in Tamil...

the language the movie was made in originally?

You know what's pretty homo? Expecting everyone to speak the same language you do. Just fucking type "your language" and "bombay" and listen to the song, and stop fucking listening to music you don't understand. Problem solved.

  • and if you're gonna make some pathetic retort about being a Tamilian, it's gonna fall on deaf years. I'm not Tamilian...

But I've learned to appreciate music in other languages.

  • the day u accept all languages and appreciate the diversity u will be a human....till then u r a moron.....useless

  • @kiprajod, Amen!

  • Anyone knows the meaning of this song??? Plzzzzzzzz

  • i know

  • Then plz post it.

  • its not the same when you translate it but he is basically saying to her soul to come join his, but in a much more beautiful way!

  • cool song..love it to the bitz!!!!

  • awesome song...

  • Awesome compsotion...eternal

  • savadi song
