It was originally a manga chapter, but then they renamed it something else and put it in Matsuri.

@Medria2 Three, in fact. Higurashi no naku koro ni, Higurashi no naku koro ni kai and Higurashi no naku koro ni rei (well, that one's a an ova, but it's 5 eps long.) And those are only anime. The videogames cover lots and lots of story arcs.

Actually, this isn't the opening for Matsuri itself. That's "Nageki no Mori". This is the opening song for the last arc, and it is actually called "Complex Image".
