A lovely tune and a great musical arrangement. I bought the single in 1967, and it was always a favourite ending of a party dance - "wow, who's singing that romantic tune?" Unfortunatily I lend it to my sister and it was damaged in a car crash. It a real highlight hearing it again and the three (or four?) major bigdes. It brings back warm romantic moods from first year at high school, 1967.
I still wish I could find the instrumental version that came out in the early 70's. I remember calling the FM station that played it, and all thye could say was it was from their British music collection, no artist was given The arrangement was phenomenal. Oh well!
The amazing thing is that Greenaway was probably responsible for modern advertising. His song 'I'd like to give the world a coke' was written specifically for this 'I'm sure you'll agree' complete revolution in advertising :) Amazing songwriters both of them.
This was always one of the "slow songs" played towards the end of a teenage party when everyone had decided who was with whom ... I love the picture of the old 45!
a great tune by superb writers and performers one of many penned by Cook n Greenaway
