Yes to all. In a utopia, we shouldn't have those problems that motivate people to move from where they are though. In this non-utopia that is reality, it would help reduce population while encouraging sustainable local development. I guess some migration is ok, but as long as it's very slow and over small distances. By geographically isolating populations of humans, over time they will become more and more genetically distinct, perhaps leading to new hominid species.

You're welcome. I find it amusing you took me so seriously. Migration should be limited, but not on the scale of cities. Instead, it should be on the scale of ecoregions (also called bioregions). If everyone can move to anywhere in the world with ease, we'll slowly loose our genetic diversity and become like Antarctic Krill (the single most successful species in terms of biomass, because they are a global, non-geographically separated, interbreeding population).

I disagree. Mixing people up will INCREASE genetic diversity. If mexicans only breed with mexicans, diversity will be limited. Mexicans + asians + europeans, etc = more genetic diversity. However, we may lose ETHNIC diversity. We will see more multiracial people, etc. Like mutts in the dog world. Genetic diversity is healthy for a species.

It isn't easy to get into America, but illegals obviously don't need to be here considering they don't pay taxes, they can't be tracked for crimes, and we are still in a recession. The government shouldn't just let people immigrate freely (anyone) because it would take away jobs from the people who really need them that lost their jobs for working for bankrupt companies.
