I wouldn't accept any criticism on the tone - as I think this would record very well and sound absolutely huge once you back off the lower mids and increase the bass with some external eq. Keep it up.
You would think one could find a different way to "test tone" other than posting a video on youtube. You must have been being modest to keep all the babes at bay.
I really miss that original Ty Tabor/King's X tone from the first 3 King's X albums. No other guitarist in rock had a tone like that. I still love King's X , but they just don't have the magic sound they had on the first 4 albums. The songs now just aren't as catchy.
very nice to see another fellow Ty rig owner. It's a tad saturated but you can tell the tone is right there! I did the same thing when I first got mine..i over-distorted it by feeding it into a power-amp with more distortion. The key is to roll back the volume knob a tad and calm it down just a bit so it cleans it up and you're singing.
Sounds like ya pretty much got her dialed in there Justin. Also wanted to say that a gentleman by the name of John D'Orto from Tweak Head Technology (manufacturer of the ToneFreq) sent me those basic settings for the lab and alesis Eq so we have to give him a shout out. Good job Justin and it will only get better.
