  • look up "illuminati/masonic symbolism"

  • the mason's eye is on top of the pyramid on the one dollar bill

  • MAAAAAANNNN...I urge everyone to look up their lyrics. Some of the BEST songwriting I've EVER READ/HEARD! The best hands down of the 21st Century...check it out people.

  • Heck these guys are badass best song I have heard from them

  • i'm feeling OUTKAST. You?

  • no outkast cant even compare to tv on the radio. outkast has no meaning

  • Comment removed

  • real tough...bowiefan haha

  • you're so mental.. I mean stupid

  • I deleted my long response to your stupid comment, but you obviously know NOTHING about music.

  • i think you are talking to the wrong person

  • you said 'm feeling OUTKAST. You?

you stated your opinion i stated mine i wasnt trying to offend you. you took it too far posting a comment like that on one of my vids.

  • Outkast has a meaning. You're just ignorant.. Listen to ATLiens and Aquemini ..both are classic albums. Just because it's "hip hop" music doesn't mean it has no meaning. There is a such thing as "alternative" and "underground" hip hop, where they don't rap about bitches and hoes. Get some knowledge son.

  • so im ignorant?

alright so i was just exaggerating, they have meaning just in a whole different way than tvotr. a song with meaning to me doesn't have the message in the title of the song, you have to find it.

  • Check out these songs:

Aquemini, Da Art of Storytelling (Part 1), E.T., Git Up Get Out

    ..reading the lyrics might help

  • those are pretty good songs.

what i was trying to put out is that tvotr isn't hiphop.

but outkast has always been pretty good

  • Well put, man. Underground Hiphop, where it's not about cash, cars and hoes. More people need to stop thinking mainstream is all there is.

  • let him know man Andre top 3 all time to me

  • I think they're very different videos. This one uses more blatant Illuminati symbolism but only because that's what's all over our currency, which I think fits perfectly within the context of the song and with one of the goals of the Illuminati: to replace culture with consumption.

In Golden Age, it's more generalized occult symbolism, co-opted by the Illuminati more recently with the aim of material gain but with much deeper and older connections to self-transformation and transfiguration.

  • both this video and Golden Age is filled with illuminati symbolism.

  • these guys deserve more views, fucking britney spears and that top forty garbage hits 40 or 50 million and then the bands actually truly creating and evolving music get jack shit for recognition. such bullshit. maybe its just because so many people are braindead fucking morons

  • esoteric fuck, like the music cause its good not cause its diffrent

  • why did people rate you down?

    that's a compliment:)

    and I agree.

  • anonymous???

  • wawawaaaaaaaaaaaa

    awawa

    yabadadadadadadadadaabb

  • All of TV on the radio videos are odd anad a few are crappy, but their music AWEsome! lol

  • ha he says in his dreams he drowns butterflies.

    thats not nice.

animals kill butterflies, thats not nice.

  • I must say, if i didn't love this song so flippin' much, this video would have killed it for me.

It just doesn't fit, you know? Maybe that's just my opinion *shrug*

  • And by fit, i don't mean the content, i mean the attitude.

  • Wow very good song .

    nice refrain.

    peace (Y)

  • Newspaper man!

  • haha i adore this song.

  • Sweet song and an awesome video!

  • that was the third time I'd seen them at outside lands and it was without a doubt the best one I've seen yet

  • i saw them at outside lands too and i know what you mean...can you say contact high?

    :P

  • Saw them at outside lands. The performance was so amazing I barely remember it.

  • The reason I think this is one of the best songs that I've ever heard is because Tv on the Radio are one of my favorite bands...the same way an nsync fan would think that bye bye bye is one of the best songs they have ever heard,right?...XD

  • yeah fues these people are tightttttttttttttttttttttttttt yeah these people are fo sho

  • these guys remind me a little of bloc party

  • TVOTR are so much better

  • No way Jose, TVOTR are infinitely better.

  • Yeah, it seems they kinda even did the same thing when they began experimenting with their music.

  • i want to see a straight HIP-HOP record from these guys. dude can rap! kind of.

  • I think you have rethink what hip hop is. Music in this diverse age cant not be put/defined into one genre. You can argue this is hip hop.

  • too true, too true.

  • If TVOTR was comprised of white guys I don't think you would have made that statement.

  • which statement?

  • I Lalalalalalalalove this!

  • Just to jump in on the below conversation...

TV on the Radio is amazing, but I agree that Animal collective might be a bit too "out there" for me. My Girls is a great song that I have to listen to every day or two though...

  • Definitely one of the best songs I've heard. :P

  • Then you need to listen to more music! I'm not saying its a bad song but if you think this is one of the best songs you've heard... damn.

  • Well, my music tastes swing from week to week.

And no, I don't have a narrow, selective, single-genre, taste in music. I listen to a little of everything.

  • this video and song is sic lads

  • il 21 a Ferrara!!!!!!!!!!

  • i sang this to my friend cuz he's a newspaper man ^_^

  • These guys have the sickest videos out there.

  • i love this!

  • coolest song ever

  • This is their new stuff.

  • Animal Collective is good

    MGMT is bad

  • both are good :]

  • the best band of the 2000's, hands down

  • What's the censored line?

Need three _____ before you cut

I assume it's about the ridiculous coke problem in the brooklyn art scene. Go into any bar and it's like 'dude is it cool if I take a piss in your coke-room'

  • the censored word is actually 'bumps', why it's been censored i have absolutely noooooooo idea?!

  • cocaine reference

  • i believe bumps refers to three lines or hits of coke as originalg516 said thus it would be censored as a drug reference

  • haha I lurve this song

  • lol, I love this song!

  • fell in love with this song last night - love the video!

  • How could someone despise Animal Collective?

  • Great to see somethin different instead of the fake, manufactured shit thats flooded mainstream music. Nice work

  • I have faith in music again... right on.

  • I'm wondering if anyone could help me.. I just heard this song recently and love it.. can anyone send me in the right direction of music like this.. I mean the whole hip-hop/electronic/indie area... Thanks

  • O green world - gorillaz

listen to it, yo. groooovy stuff

  • MGMT--Time to Pretend, Kids, and Electric Feel.

They're all incredibly different from each other though, so make sure you try each of them. They're another fantastic Brooklyn Indie Band. They're INCREDIBLE.

  • Check out LCD Soundsystem. Not really hip-hop, but AMAZING electronic indie. Ranges from funky to droning and robotic to emotional.

Also, I definitely second Gorrilaz. For a pop band, they're amazingly innovative.

Also, Gnarls Barkley. It's a pretty different feel from TVOTR, but still really good. (Once you get past Crazy, which is good for a mega-hit, but dismal compared to the rest of their stuff)

  • ooh, MGMT is the deal! i second that! (and the Gorillaz thing.

You should also check out Animal Collective--My Girls, Derek, Who Could Win A Rabbit...etc

  • luv MGMT and GOrillaz, despise Animal Collective

  • whats wrong with Animal Collective?

    too experimental for ya' ?

  • mmm, i consider it music.

though i disagree, i respect your opinion.

  • what kind of moron are u

  • A moron that loves TV On the Radio but isn't really feeling animal collective. That's who I was talking about in case you people are wondering.

  • Animal collective feels off beat to me for some reason.. usually I would be into that kind of band though.

  • eh, they do play with tempo and time signatures, but they're never OFF beat...not in my experience, anyway...:)

but hey, to each his own, yeah?

  • wat

  • I bet constructing those complex sentences really got your heart pumping? I don't really think anyone in the right state of mind will give a rat's ass what your opinion about art school is. However, this is America and you do have the freedom to write whatever you damn well please, but so do I. So with that, I would just like to say... Fuck you.

  • Way to copy and paste an encyclopediadramatica article faggot

  • I have loved this song since they played it live on the Colbert Report. That Colbert bump bumped me right into loving this band.

  • Fuck you.

  • great song, awsome video, brilliant album incredible band, nuff said

  • Awesome Jazz/Rock mix

    They Played this on Colbert.

  • He's a what? HE'S A WHAT?

  • a newspaper black man

  • "corrupts his hard drive

    through the leanest months

    shells out the hard cash

    for the sickest stunts;

    on aftershave, on gasoline

he flips the page and turns

    the scene"

I think he is talking about looking at porn on the internet.

  • ahah, could be, interesting observation

  • ARE WE NOT MEN?

  • GREAT FUCKING BAND

  • Not my favorite off the album, but still awesome all the same. Love the new album, but some people dont seem to appreciate that over time a bands sound evolves. It would suck if they just put out the same old thing on every new album.

  • Freakin awesome album, this was my favorite song.

  • Hmm this is completely new to me... it's sort of like a new age rap movement with a splice of Jazz.... I love the guitar thing was well thought out.

  • q hay ps aqui dejando el coment muy chido el videoo sale bie

  • GREAT song

  • I have no idea what the video means, but the song is still rad as hell.

  • The song's about media influencing taste and just manipulating people. So I guess the guy in the suit represents that.

Everything else, I'm assuming is just a fun visualization.

  • "Guy in Suit" is dancin' around and crossing Tunde's path frequently, throwing Tunde off course into other GIS's direction. Commercialism, happiness in knowing the know and just basic accomplishment in engrossing himself in what the world expects. Tunde and GIS are two different people, but both with one goal in hand. DANCE!

  • Thanks for the interpretations guys. It's no wonder that I immediately identified with this song. TVotR and I are on the same wavelength as far as how people should live their lives. What a great video and a great band.

  • Hmm. I think it's their weakest song ever. Shout Me Out should have been the single. Or the first song on the LP (forgot the name). TVOTR always have terrific album openers, come to think of it.

  • i can't stop listening to this song

  • They're so good that it's not immediately obvious as counter intuitive as that sounds. It's so good that you need to give yourself time to adapt to what their doing. Wait 20 years and you'll see what's up.

  • Yeap when every other artists figures out that their sound is revolutionary and begins to copy it!

  • this song is bad ass! they were so dope at coachella! this song was especially awesome!

  • HOLY CRAP IT'S ANON!

  • lul

  • Interesting song, I like it :]

I'm debating going to see them at Paleo here in Switzerland.

  • why debate. go

  • who cool is tvotR :¬)

  • i will see them next week at coachella, only heard from them but never actualy listen nothing from their music, they sonund all right !!~~ i let you guys know how it was.

  • yea same here im going and hadnt really heard alot of their stuff but should be pretty good

  • will you go to coachella ??

  • yea im going

  • This song is awesome. I just bought Dear Science and I can't stop playing it.

  • fucking trippy.

  • Why can't there be more videos like this out there in the world? We do one of their tunes, sort of.

  • i love 'em

  • I think the scenes of them singing were slightly awkward. They seem a bit stiff, and with the camera being in one angle, it didn't work at all.

  • Really? You know what I think, I think who fucking cares

  • Congratulations, dipshit.

  • more like

    hippylock = cool

    HAHHAHAHAH

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!

  • Well obviously he/she does. You may not agree, but everyone is allowed to voice opinions. Be curtious ( I know that is not how you spell that haha).

    :)

  • cheybug, while you may not believe me, some songs actually have meaning. if you dont respect lyricism, listen to souljaboy. if you do, listen to all the lyrics before you make yourself look like a dumbass. this song is about materialism btw. think about it and you might get a more comprehensive understanding of the fucked up world you live in

  • Ha, I'd he/she rather stay ignorant to how fucked the world is xD

They would be much happier if they did so.

  • yey if you look at the name maybe you could tell that im a girl so polish your glasses and get a head idiot

  • I don't wear glasses, contacts actually :D

    Chill out.

    I'm not saying it's a bad thing.

I prefer my woman ignorant to the world.

    Makes em happier.

  • served. :P

  • I always interpeted as a pun. "Dancing Choose" means Dancing Shoes, but it's also wordplay for musical style (what you choose to dance to). When he says "Keep your Dancing Choose off mine" he's saying not only "Don't dance on my feet" but also "I like different music than you, deal with it."

  • Happiness from when we're told eveyrthings okay.

  • I can't wait to see them in Dallas

  • I reaaaaaallly, wish this song wasnt so fucking addictive. I LOVE IT TOO MUCH. Brilliant band and song. i love them all.

  • great vid!

  • Some of their stuff sounds like Prince on 87-88 and some like Bowie, but this is cool too.

  • this is a fantastic song. GO TV ON THE RADIO!!!!

  • Sounds more like a chant than a rap.

  • i loved when he clapped his hands and kinda missed:P

  • great visual art!

i love that they are rapping in

    this one haha!

  • What a great video for an amazing song.

  • *clap clap*

  • I knew TV On The Radio before Colbert but it's cool guys. The more publicity this band gets the better. They are innovators and let's hope this bump rockets them to the fame they deserve.

  • colbert bump

  • Greattttttttt song

  • I love this song. The music video is awesome too. It reminds me of this children's book I used to love called "In The Attic".

  • Great song!

  • This song is so great live!

    Man, I love i :DDDD

  • Awesome music video. Can't wait to see these guys live at Sasquatch Festival!

  • Colbert Bump exists

  • Colbert Bump WOOT WOOT!!!

  • Yeah, "SNL" screwed 'em, just like they do to the majority of the bands that appear. Bush league sound engineers. They deserved so much better from a national showcase.

SIDE NOTE/QUESTION: Anybody know if Kyp ever spent time in Pittsburgh? I know it's probably a ridiculous question, but still...

  • I actually heard them before Colbert but on shitty speakers and I thought they sucked - to much sound. The I heard them on Colbert and F&CK YA WICKED SHOW. The COLBERT Bump Works man. This bad IS SICK i want to hear more! WOLF LIKE ME IS EQUALLY INSANE. ROCKIN' !

  • They did a relly good job with this when they played on the Colbert Report.

  • i never heard of this band before i saw them on colbert report they both rock! stephen colbert rocks more tho! lol
