@xXShadowRejectsXx Thanks, I added proline chisel tires, narrowed the body by 1/2", and added a stronger steering servo since this video. The Losi rock claws are great tires but they are just too short.
you can either install the 55t motor or change to an even lower toothed gear, i think 27 and 14 are supplied, you could go down to a 12 or 10. If you have a bit of cash I would go with the novak goat system, you get all of the low end torque and all of the speed of running the original motor with a 27t pinnion. Slow with lotsof torque is good but its nice to have that extra speed to just gun it, i just know that there are a few situations right now where i could have used some speed.
if you check out this video you will see how the lower link must be arranged so that you can fit flipped shocks, you need to move the lower links to the outside of the normal holding area towards your tires in order to give enough clearance for you shock bodys/caps to not pop off, you pretty much just need longer bolts and nyloned nuts. check this video from 0:36 to 1:00, @ 56/57 seconds in it show pretty clearly what I have done. flipped lowers center of gravity "slightly"
yes, in this video it already had the axial 55t motor, bent lower links front and back, losi rock claws, gear cut foam, some weight in front wheels, flipped shocks, 125oz servo, aluminum steering links, next upgrade will be to get new shocks or atleast change the oil to 80wt. regards
cool for the weight advantage, I thought there might be some travel/performance gain by flipping the shocks. Too bad you're from Canada though, we have a pretty cool group down here that is only into MTB and crawling. Thanks for the help
Yes I know that. I guess what I said came out wrong. For some reason I thought you might be from somewhere near Southern California or at least close enough to crawl with or ride with. It's just rare to find others into MTB and crawling. Canada is pretty far from here.
nice video! love the truck!
