OHM was an uneven album weak in the end (the last three songs) but they never rocked that good again since then, when I compare One big mob with Around the wold from Californication is noticeable that they lost something very important, John lost his edge, but better sober than dead.
One hot minute was their peak and to all the Frusciante nerds, Navarro did the band so good, it got Flea and Chad to play at their best, besides his own awesome playing.
I agree on one point, Frusciante has a better guitar sound in some points, it's a little more vintage style
hey man i am a huge as frushey fan (also loves OHM) and i have to agree with you. The period when dave was in, tony, mike and chad's performance was really on top, (even though they are usually on top...except for anth sometimes).
Yeah well you don't have these usual prejudices like so many frushey fans, which I really appreciate, because they are both good guitar players, with good ideas
One Hot Minute was very good but I just can't get in to Dave Navarro over John Frusciante. The guitar is too clean and scrubbed, no funky dirt... a little boring at times.
Still love the songs though but I wouldn't rate the album as their best. You want energetic album then look at Uplift Mofo Party Plan.
Totally right!!!! i dont know why people hate so much to dave navarro... in my opinion... he´s an exelent guitar player... and wath he made in this album... is just beatifull!!!!
It's also up there for me. The thing that interested me the most was that Anthony "looking back" says it's his least favorite in the Scar Tissue autobiography
@snoogans999 I'd say Anthony is and was the weakest part in the Chilipeppers - , he really doesn't know much about music, so I wouldn't even blame him for making such statements ....
a voltile, yet innocent- a thrashing mayhem, with sweetened melodies throughout...I feel every EXTREME sensation, emotion, desire, shame, LOVE and hate....when i listen to this collection of rhcp music. i wish we could have both Dave and John at all times!!!

RATM sounds like the RHCP.
Listen to Mothers Milk, and listen to RATM, you'll see who copied who.

Yeah, RHCP have a bigger influence on musicians than on their fans. Even Metallica play some RHCP-covers when they rehearse...
