Judi McNair was the original GT Yellow Jacket mascot. In 1972 she donned a homemade yellow jacket costume and wore it at home football games. Her mascot was a big hit with the fans and appears in the 1972 GT Blueprint Yearbook. The GT student who is normally credited with creating Buzz didn't have the idea for Buzz himself; he got the idea from his grandmother. So, this other GT student took credit for someone else's idea and paid a Six-Flags-Over-Georgia employee $1400 to make the costume.
Who's idea was it to lend the real wreck to a wedding?! Give 'em the Alumni Association Wreck that they keep in the hotel.
